Grooms include baths, toenail trims, ear cleaning, as well as deshedding, dematting and clips. At 2 hairy dogs I try to treat every dog as if it were my own. I do my best to create a stress free, clean, quiet atmosphere and to groom each dog according to it's individual needs and that of it's owner. I have 2 dogs and three cat of my own. h animal has its own life story. I try to understand who they are and provide what they need to feel safe and comfortable as I groom them. My deepest connection is with our elderly pets, I hope to bring those dogs who have given us so much the most gentle care possible. Grooming is not just about making your pet pretty, it is about their health and well being. Matted hair pulls on the skin, long toenails effect balance and foot structure, hair obstructs vision, can cover injuries and growths, and a dog's coat is an indicator of a dogs health. I have a deep love for animals and for nature, I bring my love to every animal I groom.

In Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, garlic is indicated for Food Stagnation, cancer, diabetes, and asthma. Most commonly, garlic is used for natural prevention of parasites like fleas and ticks. It enters the spleen, lung, stomach, heart, liver and large intestine channels. Garlic is sweet, salty and pungent. It tonifies Yang (adds warmth to the body) and promotes energy circulation which is especially helpful for senior pets that have a hard time getting going in the morning. Garlic resolves dampness, resolves phlegm, promotes both healthy digestion and intestinal flora, helps eliminate toxins, expels Wind, and is especially good for Wind cold.

Garlic can be beneficial for both dogs and cats in appropriate doses. I use fresh crushed cloves.
🐱 For cats: 1/4 clove (crushed) daily, 3-4 days per week.
🐶 For dogs: 1/2 clove (crushed) per 20 pounds of body weight daily, with a maximum of 3 cloves. Best to take at least 1 day per week off.
*Please make sure to note the difference between a clove and a bulb/head of garlic.

Not recommended for puppies and kittens. Long term use is contraindicated in pets with vision issues. If your pet has a history of anemia, it would be safer to avoid use of garlic in any form.

This will be my last post for my Montana business. I hope to reopen in another year in another place. I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have been my friends and customers over the years. You have made me feel so loved as I have said goodbye these past few months. I will miss so many of you and leaving your dogs has been unspeakably worse. I am so attached to each one for different reasons. Thank you for your kindness and support the past 12 years.
