Throwback Thursday--In 1981, Sherdon Woolstenhulme was awarded "Columbia Sheepman of the Year." Sherd, Gwen, and their four children all worked in the sheep business. In 1980, the Woolstenhulmes consigned the Reserve Champion Ewe and Ram and in 1981 they showed the National Champion Ram. Today, the Don Woolstenhulme Family continues the tradition. Don always brings top quality, competitive sheep to the National Show and Sale. Woolstenhulme sheep are renown for exceptional wool quality.
The Woolstenhulme's were, equally, as well known, in the Coalville, Utah, area for running the very popular "Chicken Inn." This "must stop" restaurant served terrific meals, most featuring their signature broasted chicken. The family retired from the restaurant business only a few years ago.
The Woolstenhulme's exemplify what many Columbia sheep people are today--working folks who put in a full day on-the-job and, then, return home to their other passion in life; a barn full of Columbia sheep.
