🚨 Important Biosecurity Update for All Clients 🚨
With the recent EHV-1 outbreak affecting horses in our region, I am elevating all biosecurity protocols across Entwined Hearts Equine PT & Rehabilitation to protect every horse, every barn, and every family I serve.
To maintain safe operations while still supporting horses in work or rehab, I will be implementing:
🔹 Full disinfection of all equipment between barns
🔹 Fresh gloves for every horse
🔹 Clothing changes between locations
🔹 Strict no-contact policy with shared items
🔹 Strategic scheduling—high-risk barns or barns with travel horses will be serviced at the end of the day only
🔹 Immediate rescheduling for any horse showing fever, nasal discharge, or neurologic signs
Your horse’s health is the top priority. These steps ensure I can continue providing therapy safely and responsibly.
If your barn has any recent illness, please reach out before your appointment so we can adjust as needed. Transparency keeps everyone’s horses safer.
Because these enhanced protocols require additional sanitation time between every stop, this will:
⚠️ Increase the downtime between appointments
⚠️ Reduce the number of barns I can safely visit each day
⚠️ Potentially shift some appointments to the next day
I appreciate your patience and professionalism as we navigate this together. These steps are essential to keeping our equine community protected and ensuring I can continue providing care without contributing to the spread
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep our equine community healthy and strong.
