Had a concerned citizen reach out to me to try to find help for this dog.

He has lived his life tied to a tree; the owners are willing to give him to a good home but we have to find one first.

We don’t know anything about how he would act inside and do know as of right now he can be a bit food aggressive.

Even after spending decades working with dogs of every breed, age, and background, I was recently reminded of something important: sometimes we all need a little help.

Our own dog, Bailey, had started slipping backwards in some of her training. Rather than living with the frustration or allowing things to escalate further, we reached out to Joelie with Vice & Virtue Dog Training, and the difference she made in just one session was fantastic. She helped us better understand exactly what was going on, and gave us the tools we needed to get Bailey back on track.

I wanted to share this because so many dogs end up being surrendered to overcrowded shelters when families are struggling with behavior issues. The frustration has built to a point where a family just can’t take it anymore and they feel like they have no choice but to give up their dog or lose their sanity. But truth is that many of these behavioral challenges can be improved and solved, when you have the right guidance.

If you’re having a hard time with your dog, please know that surrendering isn’t your only option. We are fortunate to have talented trainers right here in our community who can help! And professional training is often far more affordable than people imagine, especially when compared to the emotional cost of giving up a beloved family pet.
