The 2025 Highland County Horse Show is almost here!! This Saturday we will celebrate a timeless tradition in Highland County. Local and regional horses and riders will take the ring to do what they do best!

After the excitement of the State Fair of West Virginia and showing horses with my students it's back to the farm working the pasture and prepping it for Fall/Winter season.

State Fair of West Virginia Youth Horse Show ya'll gave our youth a great show by far one of the best youth shows we've attended over the past few years. So many awesome competitors and you can't get any better than our show secretary, Bobbie Jo Butcher. You work so hard year after year, thank you for all you do!!

Thank you to all our students who weren't showing but showed up to support everyone else! Thank you to all the parents who showed up and stayed on top of classes, food, tack changes between classes, feeding and watering horses, unloading and loading horses and so much more. We have an incredible team over here and I'm just super grateful for a wonderful day.

July 10 was another full moon. The photo you see is not the sun setting but the moon out in all its brilliance! Heard lots of "wows" and "awes" when the moon rose. It's a phenomenal experience just to see that but then we pair it up with one of the best activities...riding a horse. Had a couple of riders who got to experience our full moon evening for the first time. It's quite a special. We end the evening with snacks at the barn.

We got a great start on getting some older jumps painted. Thank you parents for letting me have your kids for a few hours. I forgot to get pictures of kids stuffing themselves with pizza :)
