Just need to let you know that ARATT is working night and day - literally. We are working from lists right now and will get things handled asap. Everyone is running all over the place trying to keep up. The weather not cooperating is not helping at all.
We have over 70 animals in our care without a facility and just a few fosters. There is no government run shelter for the feline population and the shelter that serves this county, only takes strays. We are IT for the Owner Surrenders and Felines, along with a few groups that help from time to time. So, be patient with all of us. We are only human and sometimes we need to regroup to make sure every single pet in need is handled in the right way.
We are working together as a team to try to process as many as we can, as quickly as we responsibly can, but we are filled to the brim and juggling.
This is Reecey. This young lady has had her ears cut half off. She is a beautiful Catahoula? and mixed breed, left behind with her sister to live in a back yard, when her person moved away. She weighs around 50 #, is a loving dog, spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations and preventions and is Heartworm Negative. If anyone thinks they may be her person or be able to help move her, PLEASE reach out to Teri Cox. She deserves so much better. She had a commit but then we got her and sent new pictures and they said no. And, we are okay with that because, here's the thing. We don't want to send a dog that may not fit a group, because they will sit and sit, and hold up the whole process. We get it. We don't want them to sit and be warehoused. We want someone who can really get her out in front of people, and loves who and how she is. She is best suited to have a foster situation or an adopter.
