🐾 KC Young Handlers Academy

Build confidence. Strengthen teamwork. Have fun together!

Have a child who loves working with their dog? KC Young Handlers Academy is designed to help young dog handlers build confidence, improve communication, and develop a stronger relationship with their canine companion through fun, hands-on training.

Over this 4-week course, young handlers will learn the fundamentals of dog training while building valuable handling skills and teamwork. Together, we’ll work on engagement, attention, basic obedience, leash walking, and even teach a brand-new trick each week to keep learning exciting!

This class is designed to help children become confident, capable handlers while creating positive experiences for both the child and their dog.

What We’ll Cover:

* Building engagement and focus
* Marker words and clear communication
* Sit, Down & Stand
* Loose leash walking
* Teaching a new trick
* Building confidence and teamwork
* Having fun while learning together!

📅 Wednesdays, July 29 – August 19
🕕 6:00–7:00 PM

Requirements

* Open to youth of all ages who are able to safely handle their own dog and follow instructor directions.
* Dogs must be friendly around other dogs and people in a group class setting.
* Dogs must be current on DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations.

Whether your child is brand new to training or looking to strengthen the skills they’ve already learned, KC Young Handlers Academy is a fun and encouraging way to build confidence at both ends of the leash.
