Meet Dan Seale – Co-Owner, Veteran, and Working Dog Specialist at Kinzua Canine 🇺🇸🐾

If you’ve been to Kinzua Canine, you’ve probably seen Dan working behind the scenes (or at daycare drop off). What you may not know is the story behind his passion and dedication to this work.

Dan is a proud Marine and Army veteran who served on multiple combat deployments before finding his calling in the working dog world. After his service, he attended AK9i, where he began training and handling detection dogs—and everything changed when he was paired with Viggo, his first explosives detection dog.

From there, it became more than just a job—it became a lifestyle. Dan and Viggo went on to certify through the NNDDA and work major venues like the NBA All-Star Game, International Seapower Symposium, and Live Nation events. His second dog, Red, is certified in mobile odor and fi****ms detection through AMPWDA, with deployments to the NFL Hall of Fame, Kennywood, and national tournaments.

Dan excels at working with high-drive dogs, especially in detection and problem-solving scenarios. He regularly trains alongside law enforcement and works with green dogs developing patrol and detection skills.

Beyond his impressive background, Dan is my fiancé, my biggest supporter, and a huge part of why Kinzua Canine continues to grow with heart and purpose. I’m beyond proud to have him on this journey—and we’re so lucky to share his knowledge and passion with all of you.

We’re bringing our most popular class—KC Basics 101—to Portville, NY with instructor Justina VanSickle!
