I have watched my oldest granddaughter grow up, and she is amazing, when she puts her heart into something she is motivated and she gets things done. I've watched her grow when it comes to softball with her skills or sportsmanship. When I ask her what she wants to do when she grows up, she wants to play professional softball. I can't be mad at that. If that's what she wants to do I'm gonna try to help her achieve this goal. And this is one thing that we can do.

She has been voted athlete of the year. This is going to help her with the scholarship if she wins.

You can vote for free once a day until August 7. So if you would do that for me, I would appreciate that. I know this has nothing to do with animals. But this kid has my heart and if there's something that I can do for her to help her to achieve this goal. I'm gonna do it. So if you could please help me out I would appreciate that. So if you could share this, some more people can see it. I would appreciate that too.

Thanks for supporting Sharon's Simple solutions. I appreciate all that you do for me. ❤️

LOOSE PUP. Call 443-235-6239 cell or 302-684-8152 thanks so much! This puppy is brand new and as soon as I got him home, he jumped out of the car and went running. He ran into a cornfield across the street from cool Spring Road. Anyone and everybody that is around cool Spring Rd., Joseph Road, please keep an eye out and if you see him, please grab and hold onto. He is micro chipped. His name is Homer, but he’s so young. He may not really know his name.

I just want you to know that this really doesn't have anything to do with animals or pets… But my granddaughter and her little League All-Star team has won state finals.

Please help support our local Junior girls little league as they won states last night and are heading to Regionals on Wednesday. All money raised go straight to the girls. They've worked extremely hard and we'd love your support. If you can come.out to the car wash tomorrow morning starting at 915am at the Milford bowling alley or if you cant make it please consider donating. Any donations helps these girls! Thank you in advance.

MIA got out of Chad's mom's in Milton,De on Cave Neck Road today during the storm and hasn’t returned. We have been out since 5 looking for her, but without daylight, it is impossible to see her. She was last seen heading into a field on the right-hand side of Cave Neck before Same Lucas. She startles easily, so if she is approached, she may run. Please take photos or a video if you see her and send them to me with the location where you saw her. We are all devastated that she is missing and know how scared she must be, and we are nervous about the heat that is coming. We appreciate any and all help to get our girl home

I am very proud to be a licensed veterinary technician and sometimes I find something that I need to share and this is definitely one of them!!

In the heart of every veterinary clinic, behind the scenes of every life-saving surgery, nestled in the comforting touch that calms a frightened pet, stands a veterinary technician — a professional whose role is as profound as it is often overlooked. These dedicated individuals are not merely assistants to veterinarians; they are skilled caregivers, educators, advocates, and warriors for animal welfare. They are the bridge between the science of veterinary medicine and the art of compassionate care.

A veterinary technician is a heartbeat away from hope. Whether it's holding the paw of a trembling dog during a thunderstorm, or vigilantly monitoring anesthesia as a pet undergoes a critical procedure, their presence is a beacon of safety, empathy, and strength. They are trained medical professionals, educated in anatomy, pharmacology, pathology, surgical nursing, radiology, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, and more — masters of many trades, all in the service of those who cannot speak for themselves.

But it isn’t just technical knowledge that defines them. It’s their endurance during emotionally trying moments, like euthanasias and trauma cases. It’s their courage in standing up for the humane treatment of animals. It’s their ability to explain complex medical conditions to worried pet parents, offering clarity when fear clouds the room. It’s their magic in turning the cold sterility of a clinic into a space of warmth, compassion, and healing.

In a single day, a veterinary technician might be a phlebotomist, a surgical nurse, an anesthesiologist, a radiology tech, a grief counselor, a dental hygienist, a nutritionist, and an educator. All of this, fueled by a deep, unwavering love for animals and an unshakeable commitment to their well-being.

Their work is not glamorous, and the emotional toll is high. They endure long hours, demanding labor, and often low pay, yet they show up — not for recognition or accolades, but because they know their work matters. They know that each bandage applied, each syringe filled, each comforting word whispered to a distressed animal can mean the difference between suffering and healing, between fear and trust, between life and loss.

Veterinary technicians are warriors of wellness. They are the silent strength during chaos, the gentle hands of healing, the reason many pets walk out of clinics healthier, happier, and whole. Without them, the veterinary world could not function. They are the lifeblood of animal medicine, and they deserve to be celebrated with the same reverence we reserve for any hero who dedicates their life to the service of others.

So here’s to the vet techs — the relentless, the compassionate, the extraordinary. May the world come to see you as you truly are: vital, irreplaceable, and absolutely amazing.

Dr. Bailey , a veterinarian that I worked for on my very first job told me that everyone has a heart 🩷 dog .
I did not totally understand what he was talking about ..... until my dog came....Alec !!
He's was my heart dog. I've had a lot of dogs in the past and I have loved everyone of them but he was Super Special!! Who's your heart dog ??
Please send me a pic !!

What is a Heart Dog?

A Heart Dog is not just a beloved pet; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. It’s that four-legged friend who wiggles their way into the deepest chambers of your heart, leaving an imprint that time cannot fade. This bond is profound, built on a foundation of trust, understanding, and an unspoken language that only the two of you share.

The term has its roots in the profound connection between humans and dogs. It encapsulates the idea that some dogs don’t just occupy a space in our lives, they take residence in our hearts.

Each furry companion brings their own brand of joy, love, and companionship. While a Heart Dog holds a special place, all dogs are special, and it’s crucial not to compare or hold others to the same standard. All animals are different, so if you already have a Heart Dog, or have lost one, it is so important to recognize that there’s no need to try and replace or replicate that bond. Just honour it and respect it and love your other animals with your whole heart!
