IvyLou's Equine Sheath Cleaning & Farm it All

IvyLou's Equine Sheath Cleaning & Farm it All Hi πŸ‘‹πŸΌ My name is Claudia, if you have a gelding or mare in need of cleaning feel free to PM me!

I don't require tranquilizer or sedation as I am not certified to have and administer so I try the old fashioned way... patience and learning.

These 2 pictures just make me smile and remember how much I love what I do and that I get to keep doing it. So thank you to everyone who reposted my posts, likes them, saves them, sends them to friends or barns they know. The more business I get the more I can do and provide and reschedule.
I appreciate everyone who takes the time to pass the word along of what I do and what I offer.

I'm in the works of sending out flyers, posting at horse shops, feed stores and barns! Making business cards as well.

I hope that every horse I help motivates someone that's observed what I do to pass it along to someone else.
πŸ’ͺ🏼 Word of mouth πŸ’¬ makes connections

Thanks everyone.

Credit to The Posnerosa for these 2 guys and their goofy faces.

Another day another clean sheath. Or 8. Back at The Posnerosa in NJ to finish up last week's job. It was cooler today with a breeze unlike last week. And today went very well, so many good boys. Some needed heavy tranquilizers after last time realizing they weren't wanting it but also needing the cleaning. So out of care for their well-being we worked together to get it done!
The one who wasn't so keen on being touched had some swelling and he hadn't been there for very long, so without knowing his history, and experiencing some potentially dangerous reactions from him we gave him some tranquilizer to help and turns out he had 5 beans. I'm so grateful to help him out and feel more comfortable.
That's my biggest concern in the job is making the horse as comfortable as possible during the clean and after.
I am very appreciative of the opportunity to have widened my connections with those at this barn.
I'm willing to try any horse and see where it leads and if they need special care leading to medicine or just going at their pace, then it will be figured out.
The concern is always what's in the best interest for the horse 🫢🏼
Enjoy some silly pictures my mom took today, thanks Mom ❀️ πŸ“Έ

Sometimes we spend so much time waiting for certainty. Waiting until we know it’ll all work out. Waiting until we’re not scared.

But growth lives in the trying.

In showing up.
In taking the chance.
In believing maybe - just maybe - something beautiful could come from it.

And sometimesβ€¦β€œit might work out” is enough reason to keep going.

Keep trying.
Keep showing up.

You matter. πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Introduction to my fuzzy family part 1.

This is Ginger aka Ginger Snap, Ginger Schnizzle, Gingy Pants, Squishy Mcgee, We**ie butt, Ginger Louise, and Baby girl

I rescued her July 25th 2024 from a shelter in East TN. Impulsive? Yes. Best decision I ever made? Also yes.

She's about 11 years old and the sweetest cuddle bug known to man kind. Loves love more than food. Prefers ground crumbs over dog food.

She's a 2/10 hunting ability, 10/10 napping ability (unless the gate is open) πŸ•

She may do no wrong even after going through the trash. If you ask her it was strictly out of safety concern.

She's probably the best dog I've ever met for nail trims. She falls asleep and when she says no thank you I am done. She rests her head on my hand that's trying to clip the nail. Very helpful.

POST A PICTURE OF YOUR FUZZY CHILDREN BELOW. 🀩

Looking back on the beginning of this and just appreciating everyone I've met and everything I have learned. I have grown a lot as a person and my education with horses. I'm so excited to see where this takes me. And now my apprentice (my sister). 🫢🏼❀️🀩🐴🫘
Thank you everyone that has supported me, cheered me on and made me feel like this wasn't the craziest business choice. Seeing the business grow helps reassure the need for more acknowledgement for sheath cleaning in geldings and the cleanings for Mares as well.

So many people say ew when I talk about it. But I don't think of it that way. I see it as a procedure that is routine and needs to happen to make the horse feel more comfortable and healthier. There is nothing wrong with that. And if you are grossed out, please don't own animals. Or just call me if u do. ❀️

IVYLOU'S EQUINE SHEATH CLEANING

PSA: As I am not credentialed to administer and carry tranquilizer or sedatives I have a cheaper flat rate than most vets.

PRICES:
Prices may vary depending on distance. I am willing to travel up to 45 minutes for a minimum of 1 horse at the flat rate. More than 2 horses I will travel a bit further at a flat rate. Beyond that the price will have to increase due to gas and resources.

$50 a gelding 🐴 πŸ’™

$30 a mare 🐴 🩷

PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Venmo: -Surdez
Zelle: 267-596-6503
PayPal: [email protected]
Cash: πŸ€‘ πŸ€‘ πŸ€‘
Checks: Claudia Surdez not the page name

DETAILS:
🐴 🩷 Mares are cheaper as they are less dangerous in my opinion and less invasive therefore using less of my resources. Mare cleanings consist of using Excalibur to clean between the udders and using water and wipes to clean the v***a and a**s. Then carefully remove the bean from inside the v***a. Takes 10-15 minutes typically.

🐴 πŸ’™ Geldings are more expensive because it is more invasive and time consuming. When cleaning a sheath. I use Excalibur to clean the inside of the sheath and water. I rotate water to keep it clean and keep cleaning and loosening the sm**ma until it's all out. Then at the end I remove the bean as it's usually the least comfortable part for them.

I don't use gloves it's a personal preference of mine I find it easier to get everything clean with the ability to feel with my bare hand.

MY TOOL BELT:
Excalibur
Baby wipes
Water
Paper towels
Bath towel
Lip twitch as needed

I look forward to hearing from you and helping to bring comfort and cleanliness to your horses.

So busy doing my job I forgot to take pictures. But I traveled back out to Mr. Doc and this time he spread the word and I cleaned his buddies Blake, Frankie and Eeyore. They were all great boys and had wonderful personalities I enjoyed being there and talking to the owners so much ❀️.

After a hard day's work and a bucket of beans later me and my moral support aka navigator Pop stopped to get some well deserved Wawa.

Just an FWI I'm open for booking and will travel decently far if you have enough horses for me to clean. Today was 4 horses and an hours drive. Totally worth my time and filled my day with joy.

Feel free to DM me anytime we can set up a time that fits for us both. 🫢🏼
