Levelland Animal Friends We are a group of caring folks who are trying to make a difference in Levelland pets' lives. **We are not the Levelland Animal Shelter.

We are a non-profit (501c3) organization. In 2014, Levelland Animal Friends was begun as a group of volunteers trying to make a difference in the life of shelter pets, abandoned and abused animals, and strays in our community. We volunteered at the Levelland Animal Shelter for many years trying to make the lives of the 'kids' a little bit easier by showing them love and compassion. We diligently n

etworked these pets trying to find them forever homes and/or foster homes. Our primary mission changed in 2025 to focus more on spay and neuter education and helping the community in funding their pets' spay and neuter surgeries if assistance is needed. We also are focused more on helping pets in our community. Our biggest hope is that in the current pet overpopulation crisis , we will be able to educate the public on the responsibility of pet ownership, the need for all pets to be spayed and neutered, and to end backyard breeding which is one of the main culprits in the population explosion of all shelters and rescues across our country. Our dream is to see all pets in forever, loving homes - no pet needs to be abandoned, abused or neglected. We plan on working toward our goal of seeing all pets cared for and loved!

This is ROSE' (shelter #10011)! She is a female Bulldog that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. She was an owner surrender for reasons unknown to us. She is about 5 years old according to the shelter folks and weighs about 42 lbs. She is very sweet and loves toys. She loves people and will make a great companion and best friend ! This is MERIDA (shelter #10013)! She is a Catahoula mix female that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. BONUS...she is already spayed and fully vaccinated. She was surrendered by her owner to the shelter because she had a little too much puppy energy for their other elderly dog. She is about 10 months old according to the shelter folks and weighs about 37 lbs. She is very sweet and loves toys. She loves attention and will make a great companion and best friend ! This is CHARLES! (Shelter # 10003) He is an about 2 year old Bassett Hound mix male that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. We're not sure what he is mixed with....but his body definitely looks Bassett Houndish with the short legs and long body. He weighs about 36 lbs. He was found swimming in Lobo Lake and brought into the shelter as a stray....but no one has come to claim him so he is available for adoption. He is very sweet and energetic. He would make a great walking partner and best buddy. He has had a DAPP (Parvo combo vaccine) and Bordetella (kennel cough vaccine). She is a little shy when she first meets people, but warms up quickly and loves to snuggle... she will make a great companion. This is GORDI! (Shelter # 09060) She is an about 1 year old Chihuahua mix female that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. She weighs about 5 lbs. It appears that she and 4 other dogs (DIVA, MUNICA, PENNY and TRINKET) were surrendered to the shelter together for reasons unknown to us. This is the only information at this time that we have on DIVA from the shelter's website. She has had a DAPP (Parvo combo) vaccine and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine at the shelter.
