More specifically, the X-ray shows the squeaker itself. The cloth/stuffing of the toy does not show up as it blends with the inside of the intestinal tract. This fact is what makes most foreign bodies difficult to find on baseline X-rays!

If you think your dog's firework anxiety is severe enough they require a medication, please call as soon as possible so our Veterinarians can review their medical record, your dog can receive a trial dose prior to the holiday and we can adjust dosage or medications if needed. Below are some helpful firework pet safety tips to also implement. We want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible this firework season!

This blue eyed beauty is looking for her FUR EVER home! Her name is Shiloh, she is one of the sweetest, happy go lucky pups and we sure have enjoyed having her at the clinic. She is about 1.5 years old, spayed and up to date on all her vaccines..... the only thing she is missing is a place to call home.

Mosquitos are always more prevalent during the warmer months, BUT with the (much needed) rain, they are now out in full force!! Heartworms are spread by infected mosquitos, and as of 2023, Texas is ranked #3 in the Nation for Heartworm cases.... and expected to rise. It's imperative to protect your dogs and cats from heartworm disease!
