SNOW, ICE & SLEET, oh man! Yes, Arkansas it is true.

It appears a strong system will arrive mid-day Tuesday and impact Arkansas through Wednesday.

This could be a high impact event, why do I think so? Let me explain:

-Temperatures will be very cold during and after the event.

Even with light amounts freezing rain, sleet and snow in the teens & 20's is a recipe for issues.

Especially travel conditions.

-After the system is gone, cold air will follow in place. Very likely that this is the coldest air of the season.

Temperatures near zero will be very possible.

-Wind chills could be a big problem too, with readings well below zero across regions of our state.

-We could observe 3-4 days of below freezing temperatures after the system is done.

I'm very concerned about this part, as I'm afraid some of us will observe more freezing rain than snow.

We are now at the magical 100 hour mark, forecast specifics will become more clear in the next day or two.

I'm not asking you to cancel any plans on Tuesday and Wednesday, but just be mindful of the forecast.

Forecasting an event such as this will be a huge headache, please be patient with your weather people.

My goodness this is so true!!!!
We have some of the best quality hay here and definitely some of the best prices but we still have this happen.
Jerry checks his options on each and every truck that we get to see if he can go DOWN on price. There are times it should honestly go up on price but he keeps it the same to help our loyal and new customers.
Guys think about where it comes from not only from the cost aspect but also the safety of your animals.
You may be able to get it "closer and cheaper" but where did that hay originate from, has it been barn stored, kept dry, and tarped in transport?????
Our hay has! Ours comes from the same farms every delivery! Don't take chances when it comes to your horses
