I might lock them in our barn so they CAN'T leave for the summer...but incase they break out, you couldn't find nicer people to work for and you'll learn a lot if you want to.
With Blake leaving Milestone Ranch (Letcher, SD) in a month to six weeks to come ride at home (Letcher, SD), we are looking to hire some daily chore/pen cleaning help this spring, summer, and fall.
We mainly have two and three year old colts, so knowing colts would be a huge plus, but not required.
This is only about a 2-3 hour “shift”. We are flexible with your schedule whether that be sports, rodeo, or another job. Weekends are not required.
Duties will include but not limited too:
-Cleaning pens (our daughter will help)
-Filling Hay Chix nets
-Cleaning and filling waterers
-Keeping the barn tidy and clean
-Keeping a list of things that are getting low (detangler, bands, etc)
-Braiding a few manes and keeping up with them (if you are not afraid of colts- we would not make you do one that we would think wouldn’t stand well)
I like to think we are a fun family, but we work hard. We are welcoming, clean, and tidy people. (Swearing does occur occasionally.) If you or you know of someone that would be interested please reach out. This is not a riding position, but if you own a horse and would like to take lessons with Blake, that can be arranged as a per hour payment or in exchange for pay.
Aubrey intends to come back this year, but she will be helping Blake more to keep him rolling. You can certainly refer to her as a reference.
No dogs. No alcohol. No smoking. None of that other crap.
Pay DOE.
Could be potential for a year round job, as Blake will move back up to Milestone Ranch in November.
Contact Blake or Riley Baade for more information.
