Butch Catsidy, a 2025 gelding, consigned to Krogman’s Sale on September 6th, 2026 in Valentine, NE. (Catalog available on KQuarterHorse.com)
Butch is by Metallic Avatar and out of a mare by Smooth As A Cat. I’ve rode one filly by Metallic Avatar and she’s one of my favorites that I intend to buy in the future.
Smoothann Hickory, Butch’s dam, I’ve rode two out of her now. The first one was Sannwich “Peach” (by Sannman) who was consigned to Krogman’s Sale two years ago. She really wanted to work and I really liked that filly in the 60 days I had her.
I am just starting Smoothann Hickory’s two year old filly by Metallic Cattack and she reminds me a lot of Peach but with a little more grit to her. I’ve only got about four rides on the two year old filly out of Butch’s mom, but I’ve liked both fillies out of this mare. (Riley will post videos of her soon.)
I would love to see Butch come back to my program! He may be one of the very last on the sale, but buy him and call me. You won’t go wrong with this cross!
