This week we say farewell to Emma who has been with us on Co-Op throughout her senior year at Monty Tech! We have become a great trio team and we are so happy to have been a part of her journey. This August she wil head to Ohio to start studies at the University of Findlay. We could not be more proud of Emma and we wish her all the best - she has a bright future ahead 🥰

Who doesn't love beautiful blooms, especially during the cold winter months when snow is on the ground? Valentine's Day is a great time to enjoy fresh bouquets and lovely plants, but make sure you know which are harmful or poisonous to your pets.

Temps are FRIGID. It's a common belief that dogs and cats are more resistant than people to cold weather because of their fur, but it's untrue. Like people, cats and dogs are susceptible to frostbite and hypothermia and generally should be kept INSIDE.

Did you know that ticks can still be active during winter?

A lot of people think they can stop using flea/tick/heartworm prevention when the temperatures drop. Ticks can still come out when we have unseasonably warm weather, especially if snow isn't on the ground.

Be sure to keep current with year-round prevention to protect your pet (and yourself!) from potential disease. Talk to your vet about preventive for your dog and cat.

Check out more info from CDC about ticks and tick prevention: https://www.cdc.gov/ticks/index.html

Attention cat owners!

Many people think cats don't get exposed to ticks, especially if they're "indoor only" cats. Humans and other pets can bring ticks into the home. Even cats who are only outside quickly can be exposed. Even time in a catio can lead to potential exposure. There is no zero risk situation!

Be sure your cat has year-long parasite preventive to protect them (and you!).
