After a mule deer spike took out my front right quarter panel (he is in the freezer and the dogs are loving their share), we had our 2004 Ram repainted. The bed's wheel wells were rusted so we pulled that off and put a flatbed on it. At least we have a 5th wheel hitch now. We also put the new front bumper w/grill guard on. I'm happy with the upgrades, and all done cheaper than buying a used Ram of equal quality. Now to add the kennel logo and info (von den Von den Wüstenflüssen Deutsch-Drahthaar Kennel.

I returned on Sunday, 7/7/2024, from a road trip between Lenore, ID and Marango, WI. I left on Thursday, 4th July. 4 long days of travel totalling 2900 miles and 44:48 hours. It was worth it because I brought Elba v. Chequamegon Deutsch-Drahthaar home with me. Now the introductions begin and the training in preparation for testing season in 2025. Here are some pictures of Elba.

I wish to inform all followers that the kennel has moved 250 miles north to the beautiful Clearwater River Canyon. I'm in the process of setting up the new kennel building and runs, fencing my training grounds down next to Hiway 12 and the Clearwater River, and pursuing water rights for a training pond/wildlife habitat. I'll post periodically on my progress.

Got a question about TICKS. We removed, crawling not imbedded, about 2 dozen on us this weekend. I can't just drop them to allow them to climb back on. My wife pulls their legs off $ the jaws. I pop them in my mouth and crush, then spit. My question: is there any disease I can get by dispatching these vermin this way? I do not have any sores or bit lip/cheek.

Well, now we are down to 3 pups. 1 male and 2 female. All developing very well. I've been running them on the farm where they encounter wild quail, been hitting the canal where they love the water, playing retrieve which they cannot get enough of. They've been crate trained, house broke, working on walking on a lead, and working on sit. These are going to be excellent hunting and family partners. We've had the grandkids out here multiple times and they love to play with the kids. 2nd round of shots done, tails docked, tattooed, chipped, genetic testing done. If anyone wants a new hunting dog, or knows someone who is looking, these short coated, bearded pups will be a great fit. I've been working with the final 5 of 13 pups from our 27 May 2022 C-litter. 3 of these 5 pups have short, tight coats and their beards are coming in (all F/f). The other 2 have longer, mid-hard coats and full beards (F/F). These pups just want to please, and it shows in the following video. If interested PM Lance vom Seilerhaus, the kennel, or call/text AJ Maupin at 208-922-8566. I've successfully shipped pups to the east coast, gulf coast, and midwest this summer. We are open to negotiate price on these pups.

Earlier this week I announced a "fire sale". The next morning I promptly dropped my phone into a mop bucket, then had to drive the 250 miles to Lewiston ID and back on Friday and Saturday to address an urgent issue. Phone has been replaced and urgent issue addressed. So, after all of these curveballs I'm finally getting back to the announcement. I am opening up our remaining pups to negotiated pricing. Give me a shout if you are a hunter and want the ultimate hunting dog as a partner. I can provide pictures, documentation of genetic test, ahnentafels, sire and dame testing results, etc. We have 3 braunschimmel (1 male, 2 female), and the rest are braun mit abz. Three of the pups are Ff, the rest are FF, so all will have beards. 4 have tight coats that are short and hard; most of these pups are Ff, with one a FF. The remainder have longer, hard to mid-hard coats and all of these have wonderful furnishings (beards & eyebrows). We still have a few males and females available for the upcoming hunting season. All have had their 1st shots, dewormed, genetic tests, and are currently being crate trained, sit, here/come, and exposed to game. PM the kennel or Lance Vom Seilerhaus; open to discussion. Cecily (Ceci) is Braun, Champ is braunschimmel, C**t is Braun, and Cypress is braunschimmel. All will have beards and are learning to use their noses.
