Due to the high volume of questions and comments on our page, we ask that you contact our facility at 828-572-4535, for assistance. Our amazing staff is prepared to help with pre-screens, adoptions, rabies vaccinations, surrenders, or any enforcement concerns. All lost furry friends in our care are placed on a 96 hour hold, to allow the owner proper time to locate them. We envision the day when Ca

🦀🐾 FOUND: One Very Confused Seafood Critic 🐾🦀

This sweet little female puppy was found hanging out at Mayflower Seafood Restaurant in Lenoir, apparently conducting an important investigation into the freshness of the shrimp. Witnesses report she was making rounds to every table, accepting belly rubs as payment for her expert opinions.

Unfortunately, after repeatedly attempting to trade puppy kisses for crab cakes, she was escorted to Animal Control where she’s now waiting for her family to claim her.

She is safe, friendly, and would very much like to speak with management about the lack of complimentary treats.

🐾 FOUND: One German Shepherd… Possibly on a Secret Mission on Rocky Road in Lenoir NC 🐾

This handsome German Shepherd was recently found wandering the streets and has been safely brought to the shelter.

He refuses to tell us where he came from, why he was out alone, or what happened to the squirrel he was allegedly chasing. His story changes every time we ask. One minute he’s a highly trained K-9 officer, the next he’s a traveling snack inspector.

What we do know:
✅ Very handsome
✅ Knows he’s handsome
✅ Accepts belly rubs as payment for information
✅ Has been placing formal complaints about the quality of shelter room service

Before anyone starts rumors, I was not lost. I was simply conducting a highly important neighborhood inspection on Quarry Rd. Unfortunately, my transportation plans were interrupted when Animal Control got involved.

Now I’m staying at the shelter, where the room service is decent and the accommodations are acceptable, but I’d really like to know why my humans haven’t come to pick me up yet.

So if you’ve been wondering why your lettuce bill suddenly dropped, your bunny-proofed cords are untouched, or your fluffy roommate is missing from roll call… that might be because I’m here.

Well, this wasn’t exactly how I planned my day.

I was out exploring the sights of Morganton Blvd, enjoying my freedom and making questionable life choices, when some very nice person decided my solo adventure had gone on long enough. Next thing I know, I’m getting chauffeured to Animal Control.

Now I’m hanging out here waiting to see if anyone recognizes me. Surely someone is missing this pretty face!

🐾 FOUND PUPPY – SAFE WITH CALDWELL COUNTY ANIMAL CARE ENFORCEMENT 🐾

This sweet female German Shepherd puppy was found on Buffalo Cove Road in Lenoir and brought to CCACE. While she appears to be safe and healthy, she is very scared and unsure of her surroundings right now.

She is a beautiful young girl with a gentle nature who is likely missing her family. Being in an unfamiliar environment can be overwhelming for a puppy, and she would love nothing more than to be back home where she feels safe and loved.

If you recognize this puppy or believe she may belong to someone you know, please contact CCACE as soon as possible. Proof of ownership will be required.
