TRAP TRAINING is a useful tool to set you up for success!

• Securely zip tie the trap door open so the trap cannot close unexpectedly.

• Start with the food right in front of the trap. This is a good time to implement a feeding schedule if you haven’t already done so. Same time, same place - everyday.

• Move the food bowl back a little each day until it’s in the back of the trap.

• For particularly wary cats, consider covering the trap with a dark towel or blanket (without blocking the entrance) to create a dark, safe-looking space. You can also camouflage the trap with natural materials like burlap, branches, or leaves to blend it into the surroundings.

• When the cat is freely going in and out of the trap for food, cut the ties and set the trap as normal.

👉🏼 The only available food should be in the trap.

Not sure if you should microchip your pet? Danielson is here to tell you why you should! Danielson came to our clinic to be neutered in May 2024. His owners decided to microchip him at that time. Unfortunately, Danielson got out last month and his owners looked everywhere for him. They couldn't find him because he was in Georgia!!! They got a call from a vet clinic there saying a dog had been brought in and was microchipped to them. They loaded up and headed to get him immediately! Danielson just came back to our clinic this week for his yearly exam and we were so happy to have him back. Microchipping saves lives!
