We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit spay/neuter clinic providing low-cost surgeries and vaccination services to the residents of East Tennessee. Spay and neuter is ground zero in efforts to reduce the rate of euthanasia in area shelters.

We want to share a special little project that took place last Saturday at PPAW. We partnered with some dedicated students from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine to fix 44 unowned feral and community cats. Some of our regular volunteer trappers worked together with Feral Feline Friends of East Tennessee and the students to trap cats from several areas in Loudon County.
The cost of surgeries and fuel stipends for students were funded by our amazing long-time supporters Keith and Karen Urban.
The wonderful Drs. Heather O'Brien and Michelle Williams, and our own Dr. Kelly Knight Simonian assisted students with spays and neuters.
We are so grateful to our community for supporting the project. A local non-profit provided breakfast, a local donut shop provided donuts, Lenoir City Starbucks provided coffee, Knoxville company Strata-G, LLC provided lunch, and community members provided fuel gift cards for students.
We hope to keep this project going in the future to fix more unowned cats in our area.

Our Pet Food Pantry is almost completely empty. Do you have food at your home that your pets won't eat? Are you able to stop by the store and pick up a small bag or a few cans? We are currently down to our last few cans of dog, puppy, cat, and kitten food. We can accept any brand or style of food as long as it is not expired. We can also accept open bags as long as they are properly labeled and can be sealed. Donations can be shipped or dropped off at 24303 Highway 321 in Lenoir City, TN. Meet the Dinner Special Litter, Soup (black, female), Salad (black, male), and Steak (orange, male). These beauties came in as feral kittens and we soon learned they were not feral at all. They are social cuddle bugs who want an indoor home. They are long haired and approximately 8-9 weeks old. Their adoption fee is $50 each and will cover their spay/neuter, vaccines, dewormer, and flea prevention.

DEAR CLIENTS:

YOUR PET MUST BE CONTAINED TO USE OUR SERVICES. Please note, all cats must be in a pet carrier, no wire crates! All dogs must be on leash or in a pet carrier. We have had MULTIPLE loose dogs in our parking lot within the last few weeks. This is unacceptable and a huge risk to your pet with us being right on Highway 321. For the safety of you, your pet, and our staff, please be prepared for your appointment but purchasing or borrowing a carrier or leash prior to your appointment. Do not remove your pet from the car without one of these acceptable forms of containment. If you need to borrow a leash or purchase a pet carrier, please do in our lobby.

We have some PURRFECT kittens waiting to be adopted! Jeremiah (grey/white) and Bullfrog (black/white) are 9 week old brothers. Sweet T and Ms. T (both grey/white) are 10 week old sisters. These precious kittens started their lives as outdoor kitties but have been in fosters with our volunteers. They are all cat friendly and litter box trained. The boys are hanging out at the clinic waiting for you to meet them. The girls are in a foster home. To apply for any of our kittens, please fill out this application! For a $50 adoption fee, they will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and on flea prevention.

BARN CATS LOOKING FOR A JOB!!
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!
These 3 kittens were brought in for TNR and were able to be handled so we took them in to foster. They are adjusting but not enjoying the indoor life. We would love for them to be able to go to live in a barn and be useful mousers! They are all spayed or neutered (one orange female, one orange male, one flame point male). They are vaccinated and on flea medication and have been dewormed. Their adoption fees have been sponsored to they are free to good a barn! They are about 4-5 months old.

KITTEN FOSTERS NEEDED! We have a few adoptable kittens that hang out at the clinic during business hours. However, we need somewhere for them to crash on the weekends when we are closed. Fostering would typically be from Friday evening to Tuesday morning. In some cases, if they aren't old enough for surgery yet, they may need to be fostered during the week as well. The clinic provides all supplies (food, litter, bowls, etc.) and medical care, you just supply the living arrangements! If you might be interested, please email us [email protected].

Meet the Two Little T’s, Sweet T and Mr. T.
Sweet T is a fast-growing ball of energy. She loves to snuggle for a minute, then she’s off romping around. She’s curious and playful. She can chase a feather wand for the longest time. She has an instant, loud purr motor that turns on whenever she’s picked up.

Mr. T is the ying to Sweet T’s yang. He’s the more diminutive of the two and sports a handsome white mustache. He’s quiet (unless he’s hungry, then you hear his tiny voice!) He has the habit of pretending he doesn’t like being picked up, then he’ll relax and start to quietly purr when he feels safe again. He loves to play as much as his sister, often taking his lead from her. He’s sweet, quiet and shy, but is slowly coming out of his shell.

The two T’s would love to stay together, they bring out the best in each other.
