Place with Milo part two! (Results at end)

Today with Milo, we added distractions with a ball and more movement from his handler. The tether can be a great way to help your dog correct himself before he gets multiple steps away from his place. This video will show you how to transfer that into a real life “place” with no leash!

This is Milo’s first time learning “place” and I got this video to show his owners so they can work with him at home! I thought this would be a great video to post to show you guys what type of training videos you are sent or if someone wanted to start teaching their dog place along with Milo! This is a video example of Sophie getting using to her head halter slip leash. She was hitting the end of her leash before and it was hard to get her to walk for a long distance, without stopping and resetting. This is her 4 th day of her board and train and look how easily I can correct her when she pulls!

 It will be a 3 Day Festival of fun, food, shopping and competition! SHOP FARRAGUT with support from the Town of Farragut has teamed up with Smoky Mountain Dock Dogs and Ricki’s Pet Depot to once again bring a nationally sanctioned regional canine aquatics competition by DOCK DOGS INTERNATIONAL to FARRAGUT! The festivities will take place in the Village Green Shopping Center parking lot, just south of Planet Fitness, Friday August 15 through Sunday the 17th.
There will be over 400 jumps with 150 competitors and new this year will be “DUELING DOGS!” We start Friday Night with canine water racing! “GENTLEMEN, start the Barking!”
