Hello, I am Fletcher and I am a Double Yellow Head Amazon. I am about 55 years old and thought to be male. I spent a lot of my life in a very small cage. My owner passed away and I was passed around to a few family members before coming to a home where I was given a bigger cage and allowed to come out on my own. I enjoy coming out of my cage and walking around and I will take treats nicely, but I don't care to be touched much. I am mostly blind from cataracts, but it doesn't keep me from getting around. I say hello. I would make a good companion for someone who isn't looking for a cuddly bird.

Meet Swoop! I'm a Pineapple Green Cheek Conure. I am about a year old, my s*x isn't known. I was purchased by someone who already had several birds and she finished hand feeding me. She realized she didn't have time to give me the attention she needed, so I came to BNW. I am very sweet but a little nervous of hands. I am not aggressive though. I came with my friend, Spidey, but we can be adopted separately. You can meet me at the BNW facility in Lenexa on Saturday and Sundays from 1-4pm.

Green-cheeked conures are playful, energetic, and intelligent pet birds native to South American forests. They are known for their "big bird" personalities, forming close bonds with their owners, though they are not typically loud like other species of Conures.

Hi, my name is Joey aka "Jo-Jo", I am about 16 years old. I am a female Yellow Nape Amazon. I was adopted from BNW about 10 years ago, but I have come back because one of my owners passed away. I am a generally friendly bird. I usually prefer females, but I also like some men. I will be sure to check on you frequently saying "Are you okayy???" and I say some other words as well. I'm currently in a foster home, but you can meet me by appointment at the BNW facility in Lenexa.

Coming soon: Willow, an 18 year old female green wing macaw. She's a "gentle giant", step up easily and seems to like both men and women. Willow loves car rides, and she is even 'potty trained'. If you return her to a perch regularly she will p**p there. She loves fruits, veggies and walnuts are one of her favorites. You can meet Willow at the BNW facility on Saturday and Sundays from 1pm-4pm or by appointment. This girl needs a great loving forever home!

Hello all

I have just a few things to bring up:

This Saturday we will be holding our monthly training class. This month, we will be holding our Advanced Class. Starting at 11:00am – this is a 2.5 hour class. If you wish to attend, please go to https://www.beak-n-wings.com/classes and send in your registration form, so that we have a head count.

I also want to thank everyone who has supported Beak n Wings for 26 years. January 1, 2026 Beak n Wings will be turning 27 years old. Hello, I am Rocky and I am a 39 year old male Blue & Gold Macaw. I came to BNW several years ago and was adopted, but my new owners had a change in living situation and couldn't keep me. I haven't told anyone about my early years, so no one really knows why I plucked my feathers, but I am a very happy bird now. I don't seem to be plucking any feathers now, but they may not all grow back. I come out of my cage with a perch and get along pretty well with people.
