This month’s Testimonial Tuesday is from Triangle Acres.

“Our cows are very important to us at Triangle Acres. A lot of what we do to care for them involves the services we utilize. The Lena Vet Clinic has played a long standing role in our health and herd management. Most recently we had a cow very sick from mastitis. We caught it quickly and called for assistance from Dr. Brandon. Unfortunately the cow did not respond as we’d hoped from the initial treatment and was down the next morning. She was then treated again by the Lena Vet Clinic and Bob Winning was contacted to assist with flotation services. We’re happy to say the cow made a full recovery and is back in the herd good as new. They say it takes a village, and that’s no lie. We’re very thankful the Lena Vet Clinic is a part of ours!”

We are starting a new series called “Testimonial Tuesdays”, to give our clients the opportunity to share an experience they had with the clinic.

If an inspection of the animal(s) is needed, please call 815-369-2400 to schedule with a doctor. An inspection is needed within 10 days of writing the paper. Health papers for out of state movement are good for 30 days. Papers written for animals staying within the state of Illinois are good for 90 days. Good luck to all exhibitors!

Thank you to Highland Community College for hosting us for their animal health and veterinary science educational event! We enjoyed the opportunity to share with ag educators from around the state the opportunities veterinary medicine holds for their students and demonstrate a little of what we do! Thank you also to our patient “Sissy” who helped us to demonstrate the importance of physical examinations and animal husbandry. Thank you to the Lawfer’s for allowing us to borrow your cow for the training opportunity.
