A family cat may be hungry or surrendered to a shelter or rescue in the case of an unexpected medical bill or a job loss. This is an all-too-common story. Your support of the Loudoun Pet Pantry provides food to individuals and families to help keep pets in safe and loving homes.

YAPPY HOUR AT

We're crossing the streams - representing and the Pet Pantry, but we brought Ed, available through he has taken to the harness with zero drama.

Ms. Bonnie gave us the Tortie-tude and would not allow us to put her in the pub pen, so we brought Mystic and Clint as emotional support for Ed.

We have pirates!!!

It's Anne Bonny and Edward Teach! (Bonny and Ed to their friends) They've been here about a week, and while they're still a bit skittish, they're coming around so nicely.

Ed is becoming a confirmed lap-cat, and Bonny is a fabulous hunter, but too busy to lay in a lap. Ed tries to hunt, but his enucleation was recent enough that he's still readjusting his depth perception.

While I'd love for them to go together, they're not necessarily bonded, they just need other friendly cats around.

We've been slacking over here. All of the Breakfast Club have gone home. Waffles went to a home with a few other cats and dogs, and Sausage and Espresso went to a home together. They've already settled in perfectly to their new surroundings!!

All our current foster cats are through Humane Society of Loudoun County - who are currently running their annual "Christmas in July" auction fundraiser online. Some of the items on the auction are the "priceless" items; sponsorships and funds for the various programs. Baby Eggy (she and her brother Ham went on vacation with us and were adopted last month) has her own listing this year - she has a congenital heart defect called patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) which will cause her heart to fail before her first birthday without surgery. BUT, she's an excellent candidate, and HSLC is paying.

I'd love it if y'all could go check out the auction (Links in the comments to confound the algorithm!) and give some love to the organization - adoption fees don't really touch the cost of the animals in our care, and there are some AWESOME items available besides Egg's entry!

Someone needs to adopt these boys and give them a lap so my cats can have mine back. Sausage (tabby) and Espresso (void) are super lap cats with massive purr motors and available through Humane Society of Loudoun County
