While I’d prefer to only share the highlights from this last show week, it’s just as important to be transparent.
Solosi Equestrian did attend HITS Culpeper, and although we were not stabled in the same barn as the confirmed EHV-1 case, we have taken appropriate precautions following the show. We’re fortunate to have the setup at home to properly separate and quarantine the horses that attended, and we will be staying home until we are fully confident that everyone is clear and healthy.
There’s certainly more that could be said about how this situation was handled by the horse show, but for now, our focus remains where it should be—on the health and wellbeing of the horses.
With that said, I’m incredibly proud of how the horses performed.
Tomano TF stepped back into the ring after some time spent developing at home and put in confident, consistent rounds in the 0.90m Jumpers, bringing home ribbons and continuing to grow into himself. I also had the ride on Brittni Poland’s Excel Star Athenry, who jumped beautifully for a 2nd place finish in the 1.15m Jumpers.
Adrianne Golly’s Olympia B continues to be such a special partner. Balancing her time between both of us, she stepped right back into the ring and delivered strong rounds, earning ribbons in both the 1.15m and the $500 1.20m Jumpers.
Adrianne also had a great show of her own, bringing home ribbons in the 0.80m and 0.90m Jumpers aboard Meredith Kearney’s Alloutte.
For now, we focus on keeping everyone healthy, happy, and well cared for. Once we have the all clear, we’ll be back out. As always, the horses come first.
