What do you do with your riders that teaches them what they may not know... they do not know, about the basics of controlling what they are doing with their horses? Check out these training exercises that can be used with ground poles or built higher as the rider gains more control.
"Brilliant exercises for those with little equipment and particularly for those who are on their own. You just need to set the four poles out before you get on, then all the exercises can be ridden without changing anything. You can get a good couple of 40 min schooling sessions out of these and there is something here suitable for every horse, from wobbly baby to 4* hopeful. I generally set them out so that the center of each pole lies on a 20m circle with a pole at each of the four compass points (or 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock if you prefer!), but you can adjust the diameter according to your arena size and the level of schooling of your horse"
Congratulations to Kyra Jones on her Reserve Champion finish in the Intermediate Equitation Championship at the Mid-Atlantic Equitation Festival! Thanks to Catherine Ellis and Tony Workman for trusting us with Kyra. And always a pleasure working with Queso and Madison!

Eric Navet: Mindset Matters
Mental-skills inspiration from legendary show jumper Eric Navet.
Riding = Better Learners
The CDC & The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommend that children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 years do 60 minutes or more of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity daily. Students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance, cognitive performance (e.g., memory), and classroom behaviors (e.g., on-task behavior).

For your consideration:
Finishing Touch, 14yo, 16h TB Mare by Blacktie Affair
“Ready” is so sweet! She is very nicely broke on the flat and is super comfortable. She has had extensive dressage training and has good lateral work and adjustability. She jumps around 2’6” and has auto changes. Very comfortable. Excellent ground manners. PM for pricing, additional photos, video.
For your consideration:
Moorland's Gold - 8yo, 17h, Hanoverian Gelding
Gold is a very kind teacher. Jumps around 2’6” easily, with AUTO CHANGES. He is very comfortable and has excellent manners. Easy to stay with in the air. Everyone loves him! Does not need a regular program; he’s the same whether he’s ridden every day or once a week. Although he is tall, he is not wide, so he will fit most riders. PM for pricing.
