4R Animal Mission Statement:

4R Animal Shelter is organized exclusively for charitable purposes to provide a safe haven for horses, and other equine and farm livestock that have become victims of neglect, abuse or abandonment, or whose owners are no longer able to care for them. The main goal is to rehabilitate, retrain and, when possible, to re-home these animals through a comprehensive adoption

process.

4R Animal Shelter will provide training, educational and therapy events for veterans, EMT's, Police Officers and Fire Fighters, support staff and families under an ongoing program using the shelter horses in support of an equine assisted psychotherapy setting.
4R Animal Shelter will offer public events to offer education on the process of rescuing animals.

So Proud of Harlee and Shiloh. Harlee is a 12 year old student of mine and has been working with Shiloh, a 12 year old mini who has not had a lot of handling, but will lead and stand to be brushed. She is very very shy though. Prefers no contact with most people. Anyway, Harlee has been taking her in the indoor arena and working her in hand over small obstacles and around cones. Yesterday we tried in the round pen to do some join up. Surprisingly, Shiloh did very well. By the end of the short time we were working with her, she was following Harlee around and very willingly. Put a great end to a summer of riding. Harlee heads home now and we won't see her again until December... Thank you Harlee for helping!!

Going through records of past animals, to put them in order and the memories of each animal come to mind. The good times, the bad times, funny memories, sad one and happy ones. I smiles, I teared up. I giggled and pictures of memories flashed through. What a journey this has been.
