Not him. That dog's tail was too long.

Forest has been sighted! Two days ago a kind soul called and reported she saw him alive and well still wearing his blue collar bless his heart. He was behaving very skiddish, which is normal for Forest. He was seen out by the Red Onion on CR 255 near I10 in Lee, Florida. He has been missing just over 2 months. We have animal control, his vet, and the humane society alerted to this new sighting.

Every day I recite a prayer to bring him home safe and we know many of you who love him and us have been doing the same. Your compassion fills our hearts.

This is the prayer I recite:

We ask you to help us find our loved dog Forest who is now lost. He is a good boy, with a good soul and we are grateful that you placed him here on earth to be our companion.
We ask you keep him safe and protect him from harm until he is found.
We join our prayers with St. Francis and St. Anthony and all the saints, just put him out where we can see him. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hi everybody! This is Forest's mom...Forest is missing right now. He was last seen on Saturday 8-26-17 at 2pm at our house here in Lee. We remain hopeful that he is just out sewing his oats with some girly. We will continue to comb the woods and fields looking for signs of him and leave food water and a blanket where he can lay when he returns. We have also contacted all the resources, animal control, animal shelter, and the vet. We are positive that the scary traffic of US 90 and Beulah Church Road have him boxed in on those sides of the neighborhood but at the same time that fear means he sticks to the woods, and there are a lot of woods around here. Anyone out there in the Lee, Florida area thanks for watching out for him. Any information on him would be appreciated. Much love from all of us here in the sticks! Thank you!

Went to visit Vet and he says I'm a healthy boy. Yes sir, 65 pounds of solid muscle.

This is my "I'm grounded" face. I went out and got into a fight with the neighbor dog two days in a row. Now mom and dad say that's it, no going out alone until I heal. I'm beat up pretty good. But I will heal.

Hunting. Oh man, what fun to chase something live. On a visit over to grandma's house, I flushed a rabbit out of the bushes and chased it far off in the woods. Now these were unfamiliar woods to me. But I ran, tail straight, after the creature anyways. Dad found me on a lonely dusty road far, far from grandma's house. I had been trailing a fence line looking for the way back. Got a scolding for taking off like that. Last dusk, I chased and caught a chubby grey rat. Played with him for a while until he didn't play back. Today, I chased a white tail bunny. He was a fast bu**er and slick the way he dodged around trees. I took off lighting fast. But the bunny got a good lead on me. And when he found his chance, he dove off into an old gopher hole. You got lucky this time Mr. Bunny.

Me and my daddy sitting on the porch. He's so big and strong that I just melt in his arms. I love my daddy! And yes, those are scratches on my face. I got into a fight with one of my so called friends. It was over a girlie who moved in across the way.

Ah, Spring time. Time to get your swimming suits and beach towel from the back of the drawer and head to the water. Read a book while lazing away in the sunshine. Here's a good one, it's just long enough for a good afternoon doing nothing but soaking in the rays.
