Compassion in Action of Tennessee We are experienced animal welfare professionals committed to improving the lives of animals in our communities and throughout this great state.

Compassion in Action of TN’s mission is to improve the welfare of animals in our communities through rescue, spay/neuter, education and awareness through direct and compassionate action, and to inspire the highest ethical standards of humanity towards animals. Purpose:
Compassion in Action of TN is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that aims to take direct action in several ways. We assist a

nimals in need either through our adoption/foster program or our TNR program. We provide education and public awareness of the animal welfare issues affecting our communities. We work closely with government institutions, law enforcement agencies, animal protection organizations, other animal welfare groups and communities to improve and strengthen relationships between humans and animals. Compassion in Action of TN seeks to inspire individuals, groups and communities to take on an active role in addressing the welfare of animals all around them. We believe in the fundamental idea: that our responsibility to animals is vital, and all lives have value. We believe that it’s not enough to be compassionate but instead that you must act on that compassion and truly try to make a difference. For us, by making a difference in an animal’s welfare, we are ultimately making a difference in our communities. About Us:
The establishing members of Compassion in Action of TN (CIATN) have more than 40 years of collective experience in animal welfare, each with their own unique experience in this field, CIATN’s goal is to provide expert animal welfare services throughout our communities and beyond. CIATN further addresses animal welfare by generating public awareness and training volunteers, thus increasing community involvement and bettering the welfare of animals.
