Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Maple Wood Equestrian! Starting with just 3 horses, Jolie, Ramses and Miss pickles, in a new area completely unfamiliar with the fellow professionals, horse shows, and with no way to promote this new venture in uncharted waters as a very unknown random new person… 😅 It has been an adventure. Looking back I am so very grateful for everyone that has come in and sometimes out of this dream I worked so hard for. I am ever so appreciative of the great professionals I’ve met in this, then new to me, area of the horse world, and truly cherish the relationships I’ve been lucky to develop. Jolie became the first broodmare in our program and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing her wonderful babies grow up. Here are just a fraction of pics from the past year (plus Huckleberry baby pics 💕) I am proud of all the riders and horses I’ve worked with, and I think fondly of the relationships created throughout these 10 years. It’s not an easy business, but it’s one I have worked my whole life to be involved in, and am 💯 dedicated regardless of the challenges. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of it, and has believed in me. Looking forward to many more anniversaries. 🩶💙💛 ~Jordina

As we wrap up our summer of great horse showing fun, I want to make a post highlighting a very special young lady. Molly has been a wonderful part of MWE, sweet, polite, a fabulous student I adore to teach. As some young riders can be, she used to be hesitant to handle all things in the barn herself, and especially because her mom both adores and is capable of handling her ponies for leading, tacking, bathing etc, I used to encourage Molly to do things on her own. Well, this summer Molly decided she wanted to go the very extra mile and learn more about horse showing from the barn side of things. She of course had an EXCELLENT example in our dear Libby, a wonderful mentor and example of hard work and dedication. Molly insisted she be there in the morning, ready to tack up, hold horses, throw hay, fill water, and accompanied Libby each time we went to the ring to set jumps and wipe slobbery mouths. She stood next to me in the schooling area and at the in-gate to listen and learn. By the second week she was asserting herself with confidence and dedication. I am so proud and so thrilled to have this special person to teach more than how to ride. I have great respect for her parents who encourage and support this (like coming to shows so Molly can help you even if she isn’t showing lol) I want to give a shout out to a great kid that adores all things about this sport, and is literally chomping at the bit to be involved and included. 👏👏👏👏👏

Golf cart decorating contest at World Equestrian Center!! How could we not honor our own Ricky Bobby with a Talladega night inspired golf cart race car?!?! He was a trooper wearing the nascar t-shirt and racing striped pj pants we scoured for 😂. Thanks to his wonderful “pit crew” for all the hard work put into this fun event!! So much fun, and he was pretty proud to be the center of attention! 🤩😎 (some pretty great videos in the comments thanks to Jenn Parker!)

2022 with Sawyer, 2026 with his momma Jolie, same sweet little girl, one with son, and one with mom. We need a pic with her and Huckleberry snuggling (which he’d be most happy to do!) and hopefully next spring with Jolie’s next youngster! I just love this mare and her babies 😍 Plus that horse loving kid is pretty special too according to my horses ❤️❤️

🎉Exciting news!!! 🎉Jolie is expecting in 2027!! 💕Confirmed heartbeat yesterday!! We are so looking forward that what this fabulous cross will bring us in the spring! Look at this handsome man!! “Amazing” by balout de rouet x Voltaire, “Jolie” by Beaulieus conquest who is by Corrado 1. Hoping most importantly for an uneventful and safe pregnancy and delivery, and then to meet the next superstar Jolie has been known to give us!! ⭐️😍

A stellar first day for and EWSZ Moscow!!! 4th in the younger 2’6” amateur hunter classic, and 8th in the classic overall!!! A ton of hard work is behind this great success and we couldn’t be more proud! 👏⭐️🙌 On to the handy round tomorrow!!

MWE had a great first week back outdoors at WEC! Small group this week, but mighty! Starting off the week Alexa Sengstack’s EWSZ Moscow was champion in 2’9”, Molly Parker’s SLS Sundance was champion in 2’3” and Jane Branch’s Tie Breaker was reserve champion in 3’! The weekend brought great rides from our competitors, Molly and her sweet pony were reserve champion in both children’s equitation and children’s hunter pony, and Jane and her boy Ty were reserve champion in non-pro winning both the undersaddle and and o/f class!! Most importantly super proud of each horse, and each rider, the improvements are huge and exciting!!! Looking forward to a second week and a bigger group this week back at WEC!! 👏👏🙌🙌

We have LOVED having this sweet superstar pony in the barn for almost a year. She has risen to every challenge, tried her very best to do all the right things, she has heart, talent, and we all just adore her. I think it’s an obvious choice, we can’t let her go!! Congratulations to the Parker family, “Sunny” (SLS SUNDANCE) is officially a Parker!! We’ve so enjoyed the journey thus far, and cannot wait for the future. The road to pony finals and more has begun!! ❤️❤️ Huge thank you to for this pony, and for being just wonderful to work with, we are so grateful!!

Happy Birthday to our now 2 year old Huckleberry!! This sweet boy has been growing like a w**d, loves people more than most everything, and is smart and willing with every new adventure! A favorite at the clinic when he went to be gelded and was a STAR patient. Loads and travels perfectly on the trailer alone or with company, he’s just a wonderful young horse and that canter 😍🤩 Looking forward to his bright future! ⭐️💙💛 Happy Birthday “Huckles”!!
