Texas HB3458 - a state-wide ban on retail pet stores selling purpose bred puppies from licensed, regulated breeders is also a  "Rescue Mandate" on retail pet stores -- mandating that they, instead, source their puppies to sell from rescues and shelters with NO regulatory oversight.

On April 1st, 2025, Supercan recalled one lot of its Bully Sticks Pig Ears Slivers – Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices pet treats due to Salmonella contamination.



The recall followed sample-testing by the Washington State Department of Agriculture, which confirmed a positive test for Salmonella. At the time of writing, no illnesses have been reported.





The affected product has an expiration date of November 9th, 2026. The recalled lot was distributed on April 11th, 2024 in the North 40 Outfitters store in Spokane, Washington State.
