Happy Happy Happy 2nd Birthday to the most precious girl! Junie was our little surprise 2 years ago and straight outta the gate she was the sweetest, goofiest, most affectionate and trusting calf I’ve ever met. To this day, not much has changed. She’s one of my besties and absolutely perfect in every way. Happy Birthday to you, lil Bugz! 🧡

5! Years!! Old!!! To be able to say that he made it to this point is an actual miracle. For those of you who have been following us for a while, you know the health struggles Hank has had his whole life. Because of him being an extremely sick calf when we rescued him, he has dealt with cysts and abscesses in his lungs that burst on occasion causing him to get sick to this day. A few weeks ago was one of the worst episodes he’s ever had. He was running a ridiculously high fever and wouldn’t eat. Even with antibiotics and daily banamine injections for 5 days, I couldn’t get his fever under control. I honestly thought I was gonna loose him. With one last effort to save his life, his amazing vet (also one of my bosses 🙏 thank you Dr Jude 🤍!) administered a dose of steroids, b12, and a 60cc injection of a different antibiotics that we repeated 48 hours later. After a week of sleepless nights, lots of tears and me sitting with him letting him know I was doing everything i could to get him through this, my big beautiful boy bounced back. So him making it to his birthday this year feels extra EXTRA special. This kid is my whole heart and soul and I can’t even wrap my head around the thought of him not being here with me. So here’s a big big ol Happy 5th Birthday to my first born son, the one and only… Hank. 🧡

Happy 3rd Birthday to this Goddess!! I can’t believe baby Booms is 3 years old. She was the first calf born here at LBF and I will never forget that day. I’m so thankful we were able to save her pregnant mama Trip before she got shipped to slaughter because I can’t imagine the farm with this magical girl. Happy Birthday to you little Booms!!

Happy 4th Birthday to the one who thinks he is my literal child. Linus doesn’t have my heart, Linus IS my heart. From the moment he looked into my eyes that freezing cold day in December 4 years ago, I knew he was gonna be mine for life. He and I share a bond unlike any animal I’ve ever cared for. He’s my baby. And I’m his mama. Happy Birthday to the biggest tater head of them all. 🤍

Happy 10th Birthday to the most beautiful soul I know!!! Our dearest Lorene turned 10 yesterday which is pretty ancient as far as dairy cows go. But with the help of daily pain medication our girl continues to thrive here with us. She’s gentle, nurturing and just all around perfection. Cheers to 10 years, my sweet sweet Lo**ta 🧡!!

2 years with our sweet Clementine. What a difference a couple of years makes in the process of healing from trauma. When we rescued her compared to who she is today is like daylight and dark. Happy rescue anniversary to our big special girl.
