Only 3 days left.

Three days to be the miracle they are still waiting for.

Some Goldens come to us broken in body, spirit, or both. They arrive scared, hurting, and unsure if kindness will come again. What they all have in common is hope — fragile, trembling hope — that someone will fight for them.

In 2025, 19 extraordinary Goldens needed more than love alone. They needed surgeries, medications, behavioral training, rehabilitation, patience, and time. Because of the Extraordinary Golden Fund, they got a second chance at a life filled with comfort, safety, and joy.

The Tree of Hope is how that miracle happens.

Every ornament represents a life changed. Every dollar given is a step away from pain and closer to peace. Your donation — no matter the size — helps cover the care that makes survival possible and happiness real.

And because every Golden leaves pawprints on our hearts, the Tree of Hope also allows you to honor your own Golden with a special message — a tribute of love that helps another dog find theirs.

Time is running out. These dogs can’t wait.
Please, if you’ve ever loved a Golden… if you’ve ever been loved by one… now is the moment to give.

Thank you for standing with us.
Thank you for believing in the ones who need it most.
Thank you for helping us make miracles happen. 💛 💫

🚨Austin, the dogs at our city shelter need your help.

The past few weeks there has been an uptick in upper respiratory infections. This morning, the shelter emailed volunteers that there has been a confirmed case of Canine Pneumovirus.

In response to this, all dog walking has been suspended and volunteers are not allowed in the kennel rows. That means already stressed dogs now cannot leave their kennels at all for an unspecified amount of time. This is going to have a devastating impact on the dogs’ well being.

🚨 As of now, only homes without other dogs are being accepted. If you have a dog free home, please consider fostering. The need is urgent.

👉🏽 We recommend contacting at [email protected] or at [email protected] for the fastest response and to be matched with a dog who is a good fit for your household.

👉🏽 If you can’t foster please share this post and the others in our stories to help reach dog free homes who may be able to help.

🐾 We want to put in a special plug for our friends Walrus, Pop, and Whitley who are all already struggling with kennel stress. They are wonderful dogs and easy fits for a lot of homes. But we are so worried about them and all of the dogs at the shelter going without kennel breaks or volunteer support.

Thank you for reading and helping! ❤️

Dogs deserve to be able to say no — especially around children.

Teaching kids to pause, ask, invite and watch for a dog’s body language signals prevents bites and builds positive relationships.

If a dog moves away, lies down facing away, or shows calming signals, that’s their way of saying, ‘I need space.’

When adults model respect for these boundaries, children learn empathy, and dogs feel safer in their own homes.

Comment 🐶 If you are committed to modeling safe dog interactions this Holiday Season and into 2026!
