Abilene also foaled on Sunday - a pretty c**t by Pistol that appears to be dunalino - testing will tell. With rain and record cold weather coming in we decided to bring him home - and to keep him safe he got to ride in the cab. Erling thought it was pretty lucky! :D

Last night Steven headed to Nephi at 1am to pick up a mare for our friend Jordana. While he was there he decided to check on Calamity, who now lives with our Cousin/Uncle Chad and his kids. It’s a good thing, because she was in labor and needed help!

Steven had to reposition and pull the foal - Calamity had clearly been laboring a while and was exhausted. Mom and filly are doing great, everyone is happy and healthy. :)

We returned from a short spring-break trip to Glenwood Springs last night to the arrival of our first foal - a filly, and a full 396 days cooking! We figure that’s got to be a record.

On the trip home Håkon asked if the foal could be his, and Steven told him “if it’s a bay filly it’s all yours”. Well, he got his wish!
