I've been quiet lately because I've been trusted with a very important task - palliative care.
A boarding client had to leave her bonded pair with me while she took her young kid to meet her family in Malaysia. Unfortunately when she got here, she tearfully informed me something was wrong with one of them... And unfortunately a vet visit with Dr. Morales at Cypress lakes animal hospital confirmed what I feared - she was riddled with cancer and necrotic abcesses.
The lady on Facebook who she got Fluffy from had lied- Fluffy was not fixed and now it was too late.
And all through this, my client was in Malaysia, hearing the prognosis through me instead of being able to be home with her babies.
Fluffy has been getting around the clock care, meds twice a day, and all the treats she could hope for. Her mom is coming back after 2 weeks on Monday and it's the winter storm so we don't even know if her plane will be able to land here.
Fluffy has been slowing down as of yesterday, and her breathing is more labored. We are crossing our fingers and toes that she gets to see her momma one last time, but it's not looking good.
So here is to Fluffy. The strongest, bravest little mini lop I have ever met. Last picture is of her bondmate, brownie.
