✨🐩 The countdown is ON! 🐩✨

My sweet Zara’s official due date is tomorrow, which means that any day now we’ll be welcoming a bundle of tiny, fluffy white Miniature Poodles into the world. 🥹🥰

We’re so excited to love, raise, and nurture these little ones, this is going to be such a very special journey watching them grow.

Both parents are fully health tested, so these babies will come from the very best start possible. 💕

Puppy updates will happen over on my pups Instagram .pack … the adventure is just about to begin! 🐾

Sometimes I catch a moment like this.. a sweet little dog like Millie looking up at me, and I remember my why.

Lately, I’ve been struggling to find that spark again with grooming. Not because I don’t love it… I do. But grooming is hard. On the body. On the mind. It’s the same thing every day, lifting, brushing, trimming, and calming anxious pups, all while trying to do it with love, compassion, and care. And sometimes it really gets to you when the dogs shake and feel unsure when being dropped (even though I know it's a show and they are all good) off, and I know they leave feeling lighter and happier.

I’ve stepped back a bit this year. Reduced my grooming days. Leaned into dog training more, and I’m really excited about that direction. But grooming will always be a piece of who I am. I’ve spent nearly two decades pouring my heart, my time, and my education into this work. And the truth is… I’m proud of it. I have an amazing clientele who trust me, love me, and treat me like family. That has to be enough. It is enough.

What burns me out the most isn’t always the grooming itself it’s my constant drive for “more.” Bigger dreams. The next step. The next challenge. But I’m realizing that sometimes, what I really need isn’t a bigger dream, a bigger house or a salon...it’s to slow down. To be present. To appreciate the quiet, simple beauty of the now.

So, for the rest of this year, I want to lean into that. Be here. With the dogs. With my family and friends and the new puppies arriving soon, and just be with the version of me that already has so much. IFYKYK

Rosie Bear said goodbye basic and hello to her ✨Color Era✨ this weekend!

My sweet girl got the full VIP treatment as a Demo Dog in several classes with some of the coolest grooming educators around. Was she a little dramatic screamer at times? Absolutely. Did she have mild anxiety diva moments? You bet. But did she also SLAY and steal hearts all weekend? Obviously.

Here’s the glam breakdown:
did some fabulous ear and tail color in her 2-part color class
Erin carved her coat and added pops of color
Melissa Jepson glammed up a leg and loved her so much!
gave her face a little trim in her amazing face class

I had some serious FOMO not competing this year—but teaming up with to help run took priority. Next year, though? We’re coming back! :)

Hey friends 👋🏻😊

It’s been a minute since I’ve popped on here, and I’ve missed this space (and so many of you) more than you know.

Life has taken me on a bit of a detour lately! One filled with new passions, a lot of growth, and yes…still plenty of dogs.🐾
I’ve stepped away from grooming full-time and now keep a very small client list, which was such a hard decision because grooming has been and always will be a huge part of my heart.

Right now, I’m working with an amazing dog training facility as their office assistant and social media manager—focusing on service dog and therapy dog training and more. This journey has been beyond rewarding and has filled my soul in ways I never expected. I’ve truly found joy in watching dogs become life-changing companions for their people.

Even though I’m not behind the grooming table every day anymore, I’m still deeply rooted in this world, and I’ll always be here to support my fellow groomers, cheer them on, and stay connected to this community I love so much.

And I’m so excited to say I’ll be seeing some of your beautiful faces in less than 2 weeks at the ! Can’t wait to hug old friends, meet new ones, and soak up all the dog-hair-filled magic as I run around helping my bestie run the show! ♡

Thanks for sticking around. The love hasn’t gone anywhere.✨️🤩

The Dirty Dog Competition at mountain groom expo was a leap of faith for me! I had no idea what to expect whether it was rescue dogs, client dogs, or anything else. But I was excited!

So, Saturday, I registered for two competitions

The Freestyle competition with Rosie began around noon, running slightly behind schedule. I finished Freestyle around 3:20 pm, and the Dirty Dog Competition was set to start at 3 pm. I was a bit nervous because I didn't know which dog I would be assigned for the Dirty Dog event, which was determined by a lottery. I was unsure about the time it would take and all the things.

I am so grateful for my family, especially my husband and mom, who were there the whole day, ensuring I had everything I needed for the competition, including moving my table around.

After finishing Freestyle around 3 pm, I handed over Rosie to my family and went to go find out which dog I would be grooming for the Dirty Dog Competition. They mentioned they might not have any more dogs available. I was disappointed, but I accepted it, considering I had competed all day.
Then they informed me that there were still 6 dogs left. Hooray! My family's reaction was a mix of surprise and support. HAHA they were tired. I am sure.

I drew a number and got a Milly, the most adorable cavapoo ever!If I could choose any doodle, it would be a cavapoo. All cavapoos I've encountered have been wonderful dogs. I quickly took the before picture and checked in at 3:45 pm, with 3 hours to go. 🤪

I went to the bathing area to wash and dry Miss Milly. It was crowded, and I realized last minute that I needed my competition ring table for drying, and I had forgotten a towel! Thankfully, a kind groomer got one from her car. I can't recall her name, which I am so sad about, but know it meant so much to me!!

I was done by 6:30 pm, and her parents were thrilled watching their sweet little pup get groomed on stage. I won first place and the scissor award in my class! 🥹

After the competition, they gave me a big hug and jokingly said, "See you in Utah in 6 weeks after a 10 hr drive".
They were in love with the grooming. This competition was the coolest, I love you, Miss Milly. 🤩
