This 5-year-old, 92-pound gentleman was originally adopted back in 2023, and when he arrived at the shelter again on May 22 from the Lawrenceville area, we thought a reunion with his family might be right around the corner. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened, and Macho, ID #97363, is still waiting.

During his photoshoot, Macho showed off his friendly personality, happily accepted treats, and demonstrated that he knows how to sit. He's a busy guy who likes to stay engaged and involved in whatever is happening around him. At 92 pounds, he's not exactly subtle, but he makes up for it with charm. Macho is hoping his next chapter is the forever one.

As for dog and cat testing? We haven't dog tested, and the cats have once again declined participation in our research program. For the latest scoop, give our kennel team a call. They'll have the most up-to-date information. Meet-and-greets are required because just like people, dogs have opinions about who they hang out with.

If you've been looking for a big dog with an even bigger personality, come meet him. Better yet, share his post, you never know who might be searching for their perfect sidekick.

Jude, ID #117260, has reached the age where he's earned the right to ignore nonsense and focus on the things that matter: naps, snacks, and good company.

This handsome gentleman is approximately 13 years old, weighs 32 pounds, and was found all by himself at Lenora Park on May 24. During his photoshoot, Jude was everything you'd hope for in a senior dog. He was friendly, happy, calm, and so incredibly sweet. The kind of dog who seems genuinely grateful for every kind word, every gentle pat, and every moment spent with people.

There's something special about senior dogs. They don't need to prove anything. They aren't interested in being the fastest or the wildest. They just want a soft place to rest, people to love, and a family to call their own. Jude has so much life, love, and companionship left to give. If you've ever shared your home with an older dog, you know how deeply they love and how quickly they become part of your heart.

We haven't dog tested Jude yet, and the cats have respectfully requested a quieter meeting schedule these days as well. If you'd like the latest information about Jude, our kennel staff would be happy to share what they've learned. Meet and greets are required because every dog deserves the chance to find their perfect people.

Come meet Jude and help this sweet old man spend his golden years exactly where he belongs.

Well hello there again, I’m Sasha! I'm 2 years old, 46 pounds of brains, beauty, and snack-catching talent.

I originally arrived at the shelter on February 6 after being found wandering all by myself in the Lilburn area. Not long after, I was adopted and everyone hoped I'd found my forever home. But on May 18, I found my way back to the shelter and have been waiting for a fresh start ever since.

During my original photoshoot, I showed off my basic commands (because yes, I’m a smart girl), proved I’m very treat motivated, and even caught treats mid-air like a pro athlete. I’m busy, focused, and love having something to do. Whether it’s learning new tricks, exploring the world, or being your loyal sidekick, I’m ready.

The good news? I’m great with people and can be handled and walked on leash without any issues. I’ve also been dog tested, which helped staff learn more about what kind of home will help me thrive. While I love my people, my ideal home is one without children, cats, or other high-energy dogs. I’m looking for a calmer environment where I can be the star of the show or share my space with compatible, lower-energy canine companions. The right match will help me feel secure, successful, and able to be my very best self.

Think we'd make a great team? Come meet me and let's find out or at least share my post so the right person sees it! Be sure to ask for ID #115229.

After 68 days of waiting, Lola is still hoping her person is out there.

Lola, ID #116186, isn’t trying to be the life of the party. She’s trying to find someone who understands that quiet dogs deserve love too.

This beautiful 6-year-old girl weighs 40 pounds and arrived on April 2 from the Norcross area. When she first came in, she needed some time to decompress and honestly, who could blame her? Since then, she’s been making steady improvements and showing us more of her personality every day.

Lola appears to value her personal space, but she handles human interaction with a calm and stable demeanor. She’s looking for a home that respects boundaries, moves at her pace, and appreciates a quieter kind of companionship. During her photoshoot in April, treats were absolutely the way to her heart.

During her updated video shoot, Lola was very friendly, happy, treat-motivated, and showed off some basic commands. As she’s become more comfortable, we’ve seen a sweeter and more engaged side of her personality emerge.

We haven’t dog tested and we don’t cat test (the cats are currently “focusing on themselves”), because we don’t want to add stress. For the latest details, call our kennel staff, they’ve got the inside scoop. Meet and greets are required because sometimes dogs click instantly… and sometimes they prefer a respectful acquaintance first.

Not every dog wants to cannonball into your lap on day one. Some just want a peaceful place to belong. Lola might be that kind of soulmate. Share her story or come meet her for yourself.

Cricket, ID #117354, has the energy of someone who drank three cups of coffee and then found out there were treats involved.

He's 2 years old, weighs 73 pounds, and arrived on May 28 after he was found walking all by himself in the Buford area. He was wearing a collar, which suggests someone cared enough to accessorize him, but unfortunately there wasn't any identification attached to help him find his way home.

During his photoshoot, Cricket was a happy, friendly guy who seemed thrilled to be part of the action. He absolutely loved treats, loved meeting people, and brought enough energy to power a small city. If there was a snack nearby, Cricket was ready. If there was a person nearby, Cricket was even more ready. He's the kind of dog who approaches life with enthusiasm and optimism. Walk? Let's go! New friend? Amazing! Treat? Best day ever!

We haven't dog tested Cricket yet, and the cats took one look at his energy level and immediately scheduled a vacation. If you'd like the latest updates about Cricket, our kennel staff would be happy to share what they've learned. Meet and greets are required because every dog deserves the chance to make a proper first impression.

Come meet Cricket and see if your home could use a little extra happiness, excitement, and treat enthusiasm.

At just 10 months old, Jarren, ID #117336, has already figured out one important life lesson: people usually have treats. He's 10 months old, weighs 45 pounds, and arrived on May 28 after he was found near BrandSmart Way and Buford Drive in the Buford area.

During his photoshoot, Jarren was an absolute sweetheart. He was friendly, affectionate, treat motivated, knew how to sit, and showed off some basic commands. More importantly, he seemed genuinely excited to spend time with people. Jarren is still very much a youngster, which means he's got that fun, happy energy that makes every day feel like an adventure. Whether he's soaking up attention, learning new things, or politely sitting in hopes of earning another snack, he approaches life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail.

We haven't dog tested Jarren yet, and the cats have asked us to stop sending energetic teenagers to their department. If you'd like the most up-to-date information about Jarren, our kennel staff would be happy to share what they've learned. Meet and greets are required because every great friendship deserves a proper introduction.

Come meet Jarren and see if this sweet young guy is the missing piece your family has been looking for.

Bud, ID #116916, is looking for a soft place to land. 🐾

He's a 10-year-old pup who weighs 15 pounds. He was found as a stray on Imperial Drive in Snellville on May 9, and despite efforts to locate his family, no microchip or owner information was found.

When Bud arrived, he was dealing with significant skin issues, including hair loss, irritated skin, and signs of chronic discomfort. His nails were also severely overgrown, suggesting he hadn't received the care he needed for quite some time.

Since coming into our care, Bud has started treatment with flea prevention and antibiotics and is already showing positive signs of improvement. While he's on the road to recovery, he still needs a rescue partner, foster home, or adopter who can help him continue healing.

Bud has been microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and tested heartworm negative. What he needs most now is a stable, loving environment where he can receive continued skin care, veterinary follow-up, and the comfort every senior dog deserves.

At 10 years old, Bud should be spending his days curled up in a cozy bed, not waiting in a shelter. Could you be the person who helps him write his next chapter?

If you can't take Bud in yourself, please consider sharing his story. One share could be the connection that changes everything for this deserving little guy. ❤️

After 65 days of waiting, Daffy is still hoping his forever family will find him.
Daffy thought he had his happily ever after… but here he is again, ready to try one more time.

He’s approximately 6 years old, weighs 71 pounds, and originally came to us in 2021. He was adopted, but came back on April 4 after being found alone in the Lawrenceville area. Attempts to reach his registered owner were unsuccessful.

During his photoshoot in April, Daffy was busy but chill, loves treats, and sits nicely. He’s the perfect combination of relaxed and ready to engage with the right person. During his updated video shoot, Daffy was very friendly, busy, and high-energy. He knows some basic commands, is treat-motivated, and enjoys interacting with people.

Cats politely declined, and we haven’t dog tested him. For the most up-to-date info, our kennel staff has all the details. Meet and greets are required to make sure the match is just right.

Could you be the one to give Daffy the forever home he deserves? Come meet him or share his post! Just ask for ID #79803.

Diamond's name fits her perfectly because she's an absolute gem. She's 5 years old, weighs 43 pounds, and arrived on May 15 from the Dacula area. For a while, we thought a reunion with her owner was in the works, but unfortunately, she's still waiting.

During her photoshoot, Diamond showed everyone what a sweetheart she is. She was very friendly, gentle, a little timid, knew some basic commands, and sat politely when asked. She's the kind of dog who wins people over quietly, with soft eyes and a sweet personality. While she may take a moment to warm up to new situations, it's easy to see what a loving companion she could be for the right family. Diamond has a calm, gentle nature that makes you want to root for her immediately.

We haven't dog tested Diamond yet, and the cats have informed us that gems belong in jewelry boxes, not cat trees. If you'd like the latest updates about Diamond, our kennel staff would be happy to help. Meet and greets are required because finding the right fit matters.

Come meet Diamond and see why we think she's such a treasure. Be sure to ask for ID #110345.

Maxwell, ID #117315, is living proof that sometimes the best things in life just show up unexpectedly. This handsome guy is 1 year old, weighs 61 pounds, and arrived on May 27 from the Norcross area after he was found roaming around on his own.

During his photoshoot, Maxwell was calm, friendly, and very interested in treats. He has that youthful enthusiasm without being over-the-top, making him a great mix of fun and easygoing. At just a year old, he has his whole future ahead of him. Whether you're looking for an adventure buddy, a walking partner, or a loyal companion for everyday life, he seems ready to sign up for the job.

We haven't dog tested Maxwell yet, and the cats have asked us to stop introducing large dogs as "potential friends." If you'd like the latest updates on Maxwell, our kennel staff would be happy to share what they know. Meet and greets are required because good relationships start with good introductions.

Stop by and meet Maxwell, you may find exactly who you've been looking for.
