🚨 PUPPIES DUMPED IN RURAL GEORGIA — A GROWING PROBLEM 🚨
Please read, share, and speak up! 🐾
These sweet babies were found dumped in a remote rural area—alone, scared, wet, and helpless. Sadly, this isn’t an isolated incident. Pet dumping is on the rise in Georgia, especially in rural counties where animals are less likely to be found in time.
📉 Did you know?
🔸 Georgia ranks among the top states in the U.S. for pet abandonment cases.
🔸 Many counties in Georgia lack the resources for animal control or shelter services, especially in rural areas.
🔸 Dumped animals often face starvation, disease, predators, and extreme weather.
👉 If you ever find abandoned animals like we did:
1. ✅ Get them to safety. Remove them from the roadside or isolated areas. Offer water, food, and shelter.
2. 📸 Document the situation. Take clear photos, note the location, and check for any signs of ownership (collars, tags, crates).
3. 📞 Contact local animal control or rescues. Even rural counties often have networks of volunteers or small rescues.
4. 🐕 Scan for microchips. Most vet clinics and shelters can check for free.
5. 📢 Post on local Facebook groups and lost pet pages. Someone may recognize them—or offer help.
🚫 What NOT to do:
❌ Don’t assume they’ll “find their way home.” Most dumped animals don’t survive without intervention.
❌ Don’t wait days to act. Time matters.
💡 Let’s change the narrative.
If you’re overwhelmed and can’t care for your pet—there are alternatives to dumping:
🧡 Reach out to rescues.
🧡 Use online rehoming platforms (like Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet).
🧡 Ask friends, family, or local pet groups.
🙏 Thank you to everyone who helps protect the voiceless. Please continue sharing, reporting, and rescuing. These puppies are now safe—but many others won’t be unless we speak up.
