A student at Oldenburg Academy, Noah Schenk, reached out to us wanting to complete his Eagle Scout Project at the park. He wanted to create a memorial for Lauren and to keep her legacy going at the park. The project was completed this past weekend.

Thanks to Noah and all the companies that donated to the project!

Happy Birthday to this sweet, humble, strong, beautiful, dog-loving young lady, Lauren Hill! 🎂🎉
The dog park has been open for over a year, in honor of her and we know she will be so happy to look down on all the dogs, families, and more who will utilize it for years to come.

Lauren has put so many things into play for so many kids and families over the last decade and without her strong will and drive for hope and never giving up on the strides and research that is being done today, it wouldn't be happening, she has and always will make an impact on the fight against DIPG and finding a cure. ❤🏀🐾

We will always remember and never forget the lives lost for our freedom. We can not thank our military personnel enough for their sacrifices for our country.
We hope you all have a safe Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Our park wouldn’t have even been a thought without this guy. Tom originally brought the idea to Greendale city officials and city council to use the land we have our park on for a dog park in memory of Lauren Hill. He was touched by her story and also loved his community and dogs! He wanted to bring the two together. During this meeting he met Adam Duwel (current board member) who wanted to turn the area into a mountain bike trail and from there their ideas joined together and they started on the Friends of Lauren Hill Memorial Park. Unfortunately Tom would not see his idea come to fruition as his life was tragically taken 5 years ago today and even worse there has still been no one charged with his murder. His case is on going and will never be forgotten (Who Killed Big Tom?) This plaque and boulder are placed at the park in memory of Tom and his vision. Tom is missed by so many and just like Lauren’s legacy, Tom’s will live on too! Please keep his family & friends in your prayers. 💙

Lauren Hill Memorial Park honors the legacy of Lauren Hill and her "Never Give Up" attitude.

Friends of Lauren Hill is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring Lauren Hill, her dogs, and her "never give up" philosophy. We are honored and excited to lead this effort to make the Lauren Hill Memorial Park come to life. The park will benefit all area dog owners, bike enthusiasts and citizens.

During the initial phase, the goal is to raise $125,000 to get the park up and running. We need your help to make it happen. The city of Greendale has graciously granted The Friends of Lauren Hill a 15 year lease agreement on the land however, The Friends of Lauren Hill will be responsible for maintenance, management, and future development of the park itself.

With successful fund-raising we anticipate opening the park in Spring of 2020. Every dollar raised will be used to develop the park and enhance the amenities we plan to offer the citizens of Greendale and surrounding communities. In the future, with additional fund raising, we envision expanding the park to include basketballs courts and other recreational oriented amenities such as disc golf.

We cannot do this without your help. Please consider a donation to the Lauren Hill Memorial Park Fund by visiting our website at friendsoflaurenhill.com
