Aubie, what a huge difference a 3 week board&train with the right trainer makes! I will post original video in my story. Aubie has really done a complete 180 when it comes to his triggers first we conquered moving cars when we were outside, hairdryer, vacuum, turn signals, and now windshield wipers! Aubie’s owners have done an amazing job with him but his triggers were just too much! Aubie’s reactivity had levels first becoming overstimulated, reactive, and which caused the hysteria. Video on the left is the original which I’ll post in my story and video on the right is from yesterday. Video on the right I turned the windshield wipers on high then I got out and turned the water hose on and sprayed the windshield . He did great as we rode around as Aubie was buckled up to his harness .

14 years ago to the day, I would never have thought I'd be a professional dog trainer! A couple hundred thousand hours,hands-on dog experiences later, I definitely can say that, and along the way, I have learned from and met some of the best people, clients, animal rescues, trainers, and dog handlers. So much thanks and gratitude to them all! Robin and Kevin knocked it out of the park last night! Recalling with food in between, both pups had great door control, passing through a crowded doorway hands-free! So proud of them for putting in the work over the weekend; it showed. Great job!!

Building a strong and reliable recall! The video on the left shows Thorn and Nugget being called at the same time. Watch as Thorn redirects to Robin as she called for him. Great job!! The video on the right shows Rosa going through the middle of the two dogs, each of which has some reactivity issues, so this was really great! Good job!

Perfect song for the last week of weather! Classes are going on strong at Tri County Pet Resort and in the month of June, we are offering 2 budget-friendly group classes: Leash Mechanics 101 and loose leash walking. Sign-ups are still available.

Florida has become the first state in America to take a truly concrete step against animal cr*elty. A new law that took effect in 2026 now requires shelters, pet stores, and breeders to check a public registry before completing any adoption or sale of a dog or cat. Anyone previously convicted of animal cr*elty is now permanently banned from acquiring a new pet. The law was championed by animal protection organizations across the state and is being celebrated as one of the most meaningful advances in animal welfare in years. Honestly, it's hard to argue with this one. Do you think every state should follow Florida's lead?

In five training sessions, Gail and Phil have accomplished so much! They have put in the work to make sure Somkey is successful. It's gratifying as a trainer to watch them execute what they learned in the classroom and successfully transition it to home.
