Itโs easy for our pets to get swept up in the delicious smells of the holiday! We know you love to share, and the good news is, there are a few safe (and healthy!) Thanksgiving treats your dogs and cats can enjoy.
Swipe to see our graphic for a quick list of pet-safe foods, remember, they must be plain, unseasoned, and boneless.
๐ Keep Pets Safe from the Holiday Dangers:
Bones, Fat, and Skin: Cooked bones can splinter; high-fat foods (like skin and gravy) can lead to serious digestive issues like pancreatitis.
Toxic Trimmings: Absolutely NO onions, garlic, grapes/raisins, or xylitol (found in some sugar-free baked goods).
The Trash: Secure your trash! The turkey carcass and foil wrappers are major emergency hazards.
This Thanksgiving, enjoy the day and focus on keeping your furry family members safe. But if an emergency does happen, remember that Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence is here for you 24/7/365.
Call us immediately if your pet gets into something they shouldn't.
Wishing you all a very happy and safe holiday!
