Sailor is 3 years old! 🥳😮🎈 Sailor, his 4 brothers, 4 sisters, and mama came from a local shelter in August 2022 when the little ones were just about 4 months old. Despite his age extremely advanced age and being mostly blind, Sailor still likes to climb and run the wheel. 🛞 To be sure he doesn’t hurt himself, I have transferred him to a tank instead of a cage so he can’t climb up the wall and fall. He’s always been an interactive fellow, and comes out for Cheerios and a wander with the humans every night. 🐭💚

Una doesn’t want roommates, but she is happy to have Robin as a grid buddy. If I move them away from each other, he pines for her pitifully, while she looks for him. 🥰

Here we go again. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The Mama Person has done herself yet another injustice. I cannot post pictures of this injury, but it involves my head and lots of blood. Still recovering from two injuries to my left arm and hand, I have now given myself a head wound and concussion. Well, it wasn’t me. It was the trunk of the car. 🚗 💀🤕 We will be CLOSED for all services and boarding for the month of April. 🗓️ . If you have an adoption application in process, we can work that out. If you need supplies, send me a message and we can figure that out as well. Please send healing energy and doughnuts. 🍩 😆

A loaf of rabbit. 🍞 Paulina is one of our sanctuary animals here at She’s a blue French angora rabbit. We rescued her from the euth-list of an LA area shelter in August 2021. 🇫🇷🐇 ❤️

Magdalena 💚 is too adorable not to share. The Kid Person adopted her from in Brighton, CO, in January when she was about 7 months old. It has taken her some time to settle in and learn what seems like a very different life than she had before, but she’s doing great. 🌻 Animals need time for adjustment, especially those that may have had a less than perfect start. 🏞️ If you are in the Denver Colorado area and looking to adopt any kind of animal, please check out Riverdale. The facility is gorgeous and the people are just wonderful (I have been there myself).

I weighed baby 3 times and calibrated my scale because I couldn’t believe it. This little one weighs 128 g at just a few hours old, and is as long as a pair of spectacles! 🤓 😲

Ostarra’s babies 💚💚

A little over a month ago, we rescued 5 young guinea pigs from an LA area shelter. 🌸Ostarra (now just 6 months old) came with her 2 week old baby Zephyr. 🐣 She also came with a belly full of babies yet to be born. ☀️ Summer is now barely 12 weeks old and is also pregnant. The girls are due any day now. Summer will be my youngest and smallest mama. Both of these girls are high risk pregnancies due to their age and previous improper care; especially Ostarra having back-to-back pregnancies. 🥺 I think Summer only has one (she looks much bulgier in person) and Ostarra three. Babies can be felt moving in the last one to two weeks of pregnancy. I’ve been able to feel these babies moving for about a week. 🙏🏼 Please send positive energy for these girls to have easy births with no boo-boo mamas and no boo-boo babies. 🌻
