Beaver County Named in Woody Species Removal Program
Beaver County Conservation District is excited to announce that our district is located within the Local Emphasis Area boundaries for the first round of Invasive Woody Species Removal Cost Share Program! The district is partnering with the Land Management Division (LMD) of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission (OCC) to bring this much needed program to Beaver County. This program will assist landowners with removal of these troublesome woody species.
This program is available to those who own/manage property in Beaver county that have lost or are losing the battle against Eastern Red Cedar, Saltcedar, and/or Mesquite trees. Program participants may be eligible for up to $50,000 in reimbursement for implementing practices in accordance with an approved conservation plan. The program will use a standard unit cost for conservation practices and landowners will receive 90% return based on current Oklahoma State Cost Share practice rates.
Applications may be picked up and dropped off from October 1, 2025 to December 1, 2025. The LMD team will interview, rank, and select highest scoring applications. Applicants will be notified before February 1, 2026 of their approval.
