Friday. “It is FINISHED.”——————
The day the weight of it all becomes undeniable. The day the cross is not just a symbol, but a statement. But why did Jesus go to it? Why would an innocent man endure betrayal, humiliation, beating, and death? Why stay when He had every power to leave? Why choose pain when He deserved glory?
It wasn’t because he was forced to or because He lost control. It was because love refused to let go of us. He went to the cross because sin created a separation we could never close on our own. Every attempt to reach God through our own effort fell short. Every “good enough” still carried the stain of what we couldn’t fix. And instead of leaving us in that gap…He stepped into it. This was redemption through His surrender.
His pierced hand isn’t suffering on display—it’s invitation for grace. It’s a reminder of the moment Heaven reached down into the deepest places of human brokenness and said, “I’m still coming for you.” Understand this—the nails didn’t hold him there. Love did.
Every nail was intentional. Every drop of blood had purpose. Every moment of suffering was carrying you in mind. The cross wasn’t an accident. It was an answer; an answer to sin, to separation..it was the answer to the question humanity didn’t even know how to ask.
Today isn’t just about death. It’s about love that chose you on that cross and still chooses you today.
