‼️‼️ Changes to our Feral Cat program (partnered with Speak for Animals)

This year, we have experienced a huge increase in the need for our Feral cat / TNR program. We have altered and vaccinated almost 1000 feral cats so far in 2026.

Unfortunately, the need has far outpaced the funding. Donations to Speak for Animals are down and some changes are necessary.

‼️ Starting in November, we will only be accepting TNR/ Feral cats on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We plan to reassess the program in 2027 and hopefully continue providing this necessary service. ‼️

Also, we will need to strictly enforce the rules. Cats that are friendly, have been to the vet before and have medical records will not be eligible for feral cat vouchers. Cats less than 3lb will not be accepted. Cut off time for drop off is 10am. This program is intended to spay/neuter and vaccinate wild, unhoused cats from the community.

In addition, (and I hate that I have to say this) abusive language and behavior from our clients and potential clients will not be tolerated. With a feral voucher, the ear will be tipped. We will adhere to the rules set forth. If you yell, stomp your feet, call names or threaten staff (or sling your spit cup out on the front porch of our office) you will be dismissed from our practice for future services and you could be banned from purchasing SFA vouchers.

In order to continue this program, donations are needed. Please consider a donation to Speak for Animals. If you own a business and would like for your hard earned money to mean something and not necessarily go to taxes, consider donating - donations are tax-deductible. No amount is too small (or too large!)

Thank you guys so much for a quick response to a great need! Today, we were able to quickly spay and neuter 9 additional cats that came for free rabies vaccines! This immediate need has been met, but I can tell you there is still a great amount of work to be done! They tell me it can't be done in private practice, but we keep helping where we can.
