We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs focusing on Australian Cattle Dogs. We are located in Montana.

Our goal is to give these dogs a second chance for a loving pet home and educate the public on this breed. Our program is volunteer foster home based so these pets will get the love, attention, exercise and training they need in order to properly integrate into a forever loving home. We will strive to work with other rescue and humane organizations to create a better world for homeless pets. We wi

ll provide neccesary veterinary care such as vaccinations and spaying and neutering through local veterinarians.

We have these two adorable puppies available. Chase is a 3 month old shep mix. He is kind and polite young pup. Spike is a 8 week old lab mix. He has some big feet. Meet Bone Jovi! He is a 1.5 year old shep/hound mix. He is one of the best well rounded dogs we've had lately! He is friendly, kind, playful, and well mannered. He likes people, kids and other dogs. He had been around cats but has drive to chase them if they run. He is great off leash but will chase bunnies if given a chance even though he will come back! Meet Cobber! He is a 7 year old Minature Australian Shepherd weighing 30 #'s. Did you know "cobber" is Australian slang for mate, friend, or pal?! He is a super sweet guy who despite heading into his senior year status, he is still full of love and energy. He loves to go on walks and be involved in life. The only reason he is being rehomed is that his owner felt like he wasn't able to take care of him anymore and it wasn't an easy decision. Cobber is good with other dogs, cats, people and kids. He is completely house trained and loves to go for car rides. Reggie :
- 1 year (4/13/2024)
- 57% heeler, 15% GSD, 13% pitbull, 4% Akita and some “super mutt”
- No special needs but expected to have a chicken allergy, so he is on a salmon diet

Rehoming : Reggie has some reactivity issues. He was charged and attempted to be attacked by our neighbors 110+ lb mastiff mix when he was 4.5 months old. I am more than happy to elaborate on the extent of his reactivity, but he is reactive mainly to people and to some dogs when he is on a leash. He loves meeting and playing with new dogs when given space. We have been in training since April and have seen a ton of improvement but I am a college student and not sure that I can get him to a place I need him to be in since I don’t have a permanent housing situation, have a social life, and some landlord hesitation regarding his reactivity. He does have a single bite on his record. It was not major, but did draw blood on my neighbor and happened when my roommate let him out in the yard without a leash - this should not have happened and believe it won’t happen again under proper management and continued training. I’m unsure if as a full-time student I will be able to pay for the training he needs to get better to “fit my lifestyle” which is also another reason I am looking to potentially rehome him.

Hi I’m Bella! A 4.5 year old Australian Cattle dog mix and I’m looking for my forever home! After being adopted in 2021 and after living in the back of a car for the first 9 months of my life, I’ve come a long way but still have some work to do. I am a sweet, cuddly, full of personality pup to my family but I do have a hard time with new people and situations. The vet says I’m a one person dog, so I’m looking for a single individual or a couple without kids who are ready to go out on adventures!

I will take some time to let my guard down but when I do, we will be inseparable. Although I can be a bit apprehensive about new people, I get along great with other dogs and I do well with sharing toys and space. I currently love to run around and chase my doodle sister. I am house trained, kennel trained, good on a leash (when not overstimulated), and good at listening to commands (sit, stay, lay, etc., with solid recall).

As like any cattle dog, I can be protective (and quickly overstimulated) of my space (kennel) and home. I am known to be a bit of a barker when it comes to people walking past the house as well as towards unknown dogs when on walks or on the other side of the fence. I also have a tendency to be barky and apprehensive to new people coming into the home. Although I am hesitant when to comes to new people, in time I am able to let my guard down and enjoy their company. In full disclosure I’ve had 2 previous bite instances where I was uncomfortable and became reactive; neither accident required stitches and I’ve been around that person many other times without incident.

Because of my reactivity, I have not spent much time around kids. My mom and dad are going to be welcoming a new baby to the family and they deserve their focus to be there.

I know I have some work to do, but I too know that I am an active, outdoor ready dog who also loves her time on the couch. I am the ultimate down for anything pup. I love to go to the dog park, go on walks and especially long hikes. If we come across any water, creek or pond, you better believe I am hopping in. As much as I love a good walk, I have no problem laying around the house on a lazy Saturday.

Here’s a quote from my dad….”Bella is an amazing dog, not without her quirks, that deserves the best; she deserves to be someone’s shadow and live the best life free of stress”.

Please help us find a home for Drake. He is an 8 year old blue heeler. He needs room to run, get his energy out, and live his best life. Our living work situation, no longer provides that for him. He is like most heelers.. high anxiety, high energy, very protective…. Likes some dogs, others he doesnt. He is protective of strangers. We have moved to a home where he has no fenced area to run and has to be kenneled or on a leash constantly. This increases his anxiety. He loves to camp, play in the water, chase birds…. We rescued 23 mini heelers! From adult to young adult to puppies! We have blues, reds and chocolates! All of these beautiful dogs will be looking for thier forever homes soon. We got a call from a concerned neighbor and then law enforcement regarding a bad situation with some mini heelers. After talking with the woman who owned them, she asked for my help in rehoming some of her dogs as she was overwhelmed. Her health was failing and her breeding program got out of control. She was located out of state so I contacted another rescue program closer to her area and he did not hesitate to say he would help! It turned out to be much more than we all expected. A whirlwind of emotions to say the least! A very long story, resulting in deceased dogs and when we made it to her place, the woman had passed away as well. How any of these beautiful dogs or this woman could be living in these conditions is beyond horrifying. My heart goes out to these amazing dogs and I am grateful for the connections with fellow animal lovers as we saved around 70 dogs! Even though I did not get the chance to meet her, I choose to believe it was not always like this for her or these beautiful dogs. Please ask for help if you are overwhelmed! It should never have to get to this point before you do. Check on your friends and loved ones and when you do, don't judge, listen, learn and help!
