Dog's Retreat is a family-owned and operated doggy daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility. We offer your canine companion a fun, friendly, clean, and safe environment. Boarding at Dog's Retreat can be customized to meet your dog's personal needs. Regular operating hours are 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Upon request, we do offer overnight supervision at an additional charge. A We**am will be on 24 hours. Also take advantage of our full grooming services when your dog visits our facility.

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Vinny, who brings over 50 years of experience working with dogs to our team! 🐶✨

Vinny has done it all – from breeding dogs in the past to spending his days surrounded by pups of all shapes and sizes. His favorite breed? The brilliant and hardworking Belgian Malinois. 💪🐕

What Vinny loves most about the job is getting to know each dog’s unique quirks, personalities, and little idiosyncrasies—and of course, simply spending time interacting with them. ❤️🐾

When he’s not at daycare, you’ll find Vinny out on a hiking trail or tinkering with his passion for cars. 🚗🌲

We’re so lucky to have his knowledge, experience, and love for dogs here every day! 🐾

This is Jack Daniel 🐶 Don’t let the cute face fool you — he’s a hammock-wrecking bandit 😱

It happens every time. His humans climb in the hammock to relax on a sunny 🌞 day… and Jack just can’t stand it. Maybe he’s jealous 🤔. Maybe he’s mad he can’t figure out how to sway in the hammock himself. Either way, his plan is simple: take out the rope 😈

One minute they’re swaying in the breeze… the next, CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP — Jack’s got the rope in his mouth and that hammock is going nowhere 🫣

If Jack can’t chill in the hammock, no one can 🙂‍↔️

Breed: Pitbull/small breed mix
Age: 2 years old (her human is pretty sure 😉)
Favorite activities: Visiting Home Depot 🛠️ and Nine Pin Cider 🍏🍎 , outdoor adventures, chewing bones 🍖 , and listening to Norah Jones 🎵 🎤 (duh!)

🐾Social Saturday – Meet Julia!🐾

Julia has been working with animals for the past year and a half and it’s easy to see how much she loves it! At home, she’s surrounded by her own furry crew — three dogs (an Aussie doodle, a Maltese, and a Cockapoo) and two cats who keep life interesting.

Her favorite part of the job? Greeting owners as they walk in with their pups — especially if there’s a fluffy Newfoundland in the mix (her all-time favorite breed 🐶💛).

When she’s not busy caring for our four-legged friends, or busy with college classes, Julia loves to relax with a good classic novel 📚
