Dog's Retreat is a family-owned and operated doggy daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility. We offer your canine companion a fun, friendly, clean, and safe environment. Boarding at Dog's Retreat can be customized to meet your dog's personal needs. Regular operating hours are 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Upon request, we do offer overnight supervision at an additional charge. A We**am will be on 24 hours. Also take advantage of our full grooming services when your dog visits our facility.

Say hello to Sean, one of our amazing team members here at Dog’s Retreat! Sean joined the pack back in 2021 and has been an essential part of our daycare ever since. A proud UAlbany graduate, Sean brings warmth, patience, and plenty of playtime energy to every day.

He has a soft spot for shy and sweet pups, and you can often find him enjoying a good game of tug of war with his four-legged friends. His favorite part of the job? Spending time outside with the dogs on a beautiful sunny day! ☀️

When he’s not at the Retreat, Sean loves cooking up new recipes—though he admits he’s not as big a fan of cleaning up afterward! 🍳😅

Fun fact: Sean’s favorite breed is the Bullmastiff 🐶❤️

We’re so lucky to have Sean as part of our team! Next time you see him, be sure to say hi (and maybe challenge him to a friendly tug of war match) 😉

She’s back, folks… and this time, she’s got pumpkin guts on her paws! 🕵️‍♀️

Wanted for two Wanted Wednesdays in a row…. Darla the Pumpkin Bandit!

Our repeat offender, Darla, has struck again—caught red-pawed in a Halloween heist that left one poor pumpkin in shambles. The evidence? Undeniable. We’ve got photos and video footage (in the comment section below) of this mischievous pup mid-chomp, looking way too proud of her “carving” skills. 😆

Her crime? Destruction of seasonal décor.
Her motive? Pure fun (and maybe a love for squash?).
Her sentence? Extra playtime and belly rubs—because who could stay mad at that face? 🐶💕

Submit your dog’s Halloween costume photos by next Friday 10/31 (Halloween) for a chance to win a FREE day of daycare! 🦴✨
