As puppy pick up day fast approaches here’s some info for families.
Let me know if you would like to pick up your puppy Saturday Sept 6th or Sunday afternoon September 7th.
I will be sending each puppy home with their shot record and a little bag of their food.
FOOD-
I have them on 4 Health puppy food that I get from Tractor Supply. They’ve been eating it dry.
I previously fed Purina pro plan puppy food but when they had a recall a couple years ago, I had to make a change. I’ve liked this puppy food and so I’ve stuck with it. When I compared labels, I felt like it had the best bang for your buck.
DEWORMING
They have been on a deworming schedule. I use Panacur dewormer. You get it from your vet. It’s about $16 for 2 ounces. They tested negative for parasites today but you’ll need to keep them on their deworming schedule.
I’m worming them today, tomorrow and Wednesday. (I was waiting to get thier weights from vet) So you’ll want to worm them again in about two weeks. (Sept 10 or so. )
VACCINATIONS
They’ve had their first set of shots at six weeks old. You will want to call your vet and schedule their second set of shots. They’ll need to get those between 10 and 12 weeks of age.
TEETHING
Your sweet little angel babies are going to turn into little velociraptors between the age of 12 and 16 weeks. This is the period that their adult teeth will be coming in and it’s uncomfortable for them. I recommend LOTS of chew toys and you probably need to try some chew toys that you can put in the freezer. This will help ease their discomfort and save your shoes.
SOCIALIZATION
I am a believer in 100 people rule. That your puppy should see around 100 people between now and 16 weeks of age. This age window is an important developmental time for your puppy. If you want a dog that you can take anywhere and can travel with you, then this is what I would recommend. Obviously use common sense and keep your puppy as safe as possible.
I am aware that a puppy is not considered fully vaccinated until it’s had all 3 sets of its shots. But many vets and professionals will tell you your chances of your dog having behavioral problems because it wasn’t socialized enough as puppy is higher than it getting sick after it’s had it’s first set of shots. I recommend you talk to your vet about it and do your own research.
This litters Birthday is 7-13-25
I love these babies. Feel free to send me pictures and updates anytime. I’m always happy to see them. ❤️
