🎉 STEVIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉
​There is something incredibly special about the birds who come to us as lost. They arrive with a bit of mystery, but always with so much heart. When Stevie (aka Steven) first came to SWEAR, our absolute priority was to reunite her with her original family. But when no one came forward, she officially became part of our rescue, and we promised her we’d find the perfect place for her to land.

​To know Stevie is to love her. She spent months being the absolute bright spot, charming every single volunteer who walked through the door. It takes a very specific, beautiful connection for a rescue bird to choose their people, and we watched that happen the moment she met the White family. ​Stevie didn't just accept them—she chose them. Between her happy dances and her quiet, trusting snuggles, she made it entirely clear that she was already home.
​Saying goodbye to a bird who has brought so much joy to our team is always a bittersweet moment, but seeing her leave today to start her official fresh start with the Whites is everything we work for.

​Thank you to the White family for opening your hearts to this beautiful girl. We are going to miss her terribly, but we couldn't be happier for her next chapter.

​Did you know that Quaker Parrots are completely illegal to own in 10 states? In places like California, an innocent bird doesn't just face confiscation—they face mandatory euthanasia.
​Felicity was hatched safely in Arizona, but due to a series of poor decisions outside of her control, she ended up across the border in California. Her life was instantly on the line simply for existing in the wrong zip code.
​When Avian Underdogs reached out to SWEAR for a lifeline, there was only one answer: YES. 🦜✨
​Thanks to swift coordination and a dedicated team, Felicity is officially safe, legal, and receiving the specialized care she deserves. She is an absolute underdog who beat the odds, and we are going to ensure she finds the perfect, proper placement where she can thrive legally and safely.

Look at the smiles! We have more good news to share today: Sam's foster dads have officially made him a permanent part of the family! 🏡✨
​Sam has been thriving in their care, stealing hearts and soaking up all the love, head scratches, and specialized attention he deserves. While we love watching our foster birds find great homes, there is something extra magical about a "foster fail" turned forever family. It was clear from day one that Sam had already found his perfect flock right there.
​Thank you to his wonderful family for giving Sam the ultimate home, and thank you to our incredible community for supporting rescue journeys just like his.

We have some absolute championship-level news to share today! Put on your gold jerseys and cue the victory siren, because our handsome boy Fleury has officially found his forever home!
​Everyone at SWEAR loves Fleury and knew he needed an extra special home. Fleury put on his best show-stopping performance, made the ultimate "save," and won the hearts of his perfect forever family. He is loved dearly by his mom and has a team of other cockatoos! Help us wish Fleury and his family all the best in this new beginning!

Fergus and Bebe took an epic journey up to Utah to visit the amazing Dr. M. Scott Echols at Parrish Creek Veterinary Hospital!
​So far, it’s an overall winning health report.
​...Okay, so they might have been prescribed a little less couch-potato time and a few fewer treats (haven't we all been there?). But with some minor diet tweaks and a new exercise routine, these two are going to be in absolute peak shape.
​A massive thank you to Dr. Echols and the wonderful team at Parrish Creek for taking such incredible care of our feather babies. ❤️
