🐾 Toa had been hiding a little secret… x14 !!
When Toa came into our care, we knew he had already been through so much. Before arriving in LAWS’ care, Toa needed emergency amputation surgery. We are incredibly thankful to Spay & Neuter Cruiser for stepping up for Toa and getting him the critical care he needed. 💙
But what we didn’t know yet… was that Toa wasn’t alone.
The very next day, we learned that Toa had brothers, sisters, and cousins from the same property who also needed help. Our team stepped in, made sure they were safe, and are now committed to finding them safe placements, either through local LAWS fosters or with other rescue partners.
Bringing the total to 15 puppies who now have a chance at a safe and healthy future. 🐾
These little ones are still very young (approximately 4½–6 weeks old), and right now they are not available for adoption. They are focusing on growing, learning, and getting the care they need.
We are incredibly grateful that another rescue has committed to taking at least five of these puppies, and we are continuing to work on placement options for the others. Some may remain with LAWS and enter our foster-to-adopt program when they are ready, while others may be transferred to trusted rescue partners.
Right now, we need the biggest piece of the puzzle: local foster homes. 🏡
At this age, puppies do best with a buddy, so we are looking for local Albany County fosters who are willing to take in a pair of puppies and help them through this important stage of life.
Please note: these puppies are not currently at our adoption facility, and they are not available to meet by stopping in. The first step to helping these puppies is completing a foster application. Once approved, we can talk with you about available foster opportunities.
Fostering saves lives. It gives puppies the chance to grow in a home environment, receive socialization, and prepare for their next chapter.
Many of our fosters fall in love and become adopters, but fostering is first and foremost giving an animal a safe place to land when they need it most. ❤️

We are also collecting supplies to help care for this unexpected group of tiny arrivals. Our wish list can be found here:

If you are not able to foster but still want to help, we would be incredibly grateful for any donation or sponsorship support toward their care. Every dollar directly helps cover food, medical care, and supplies for these puppies as they grow and prepare for their next chapter. ❤️ https://www.laramie-animals.org/donate-puppy
Thank you to everyone who continues to support LAWS and helps us say “yes” when animals need us most. 🐾
