We provide animal control services for all unincorporated areas of La Porte County and we also operate the county animal shelter. We enforce municipal ordinances and laws governing animal control and protection and we provide a safe and caring environment for animals in need.

Mabel is so easy to fall in love with🥰

Approx 5-6 years old. Silver Lab (with horrible skin)

She is missing hair in several places, but was treated with meds prior to being transferred to us. It does appear that the irritated, redness is healing up but it will take time for her hair to grow back.

What we know about this sweet girl…

She is spayed
She is more than likely housebroken (can’t promise)
She will sit
She will shake
She will “down”.
She will love her person unconditionally, she just needs that special someone to make the decision to look past what she looks like now.

Mabel is a doll and deserves a forever home of her very own. 🥹

Bart is approx 2 years old. He has A LOT of energy and just needs some patience and consistency so he can blossom into the best Bart-boy he can be.

He came to us as a stray so we do not know his history or if he could live with cats, kids or other dogs. He does seem pretty happy go lucky though.

Joon is pretty much the total package for an active lifestyle, dog loving family❣️

She is medium sized (approx 45 pounds), athletic, fun, FUNNY. She loves to learn, she loves to play, she loves attention. She is short haired so no haircuts required. Just good old fashioned man’s (or woman’s) best friend. She doesn’t need much… just a family to love and that will love her right back, for the rest of her life.

Joon is spayed and approx 2 years old She seems very interested in playing with other dogs.

We are NOT sure about cats or kids, but she seems to be pretty darn amazing.

Please submit an application and we will schedule a meet and greet appointment. We would love nothing more than to find her a home of her very own in time to enjoy the rest of the summer, without a care in the world‼️

💜Angel is approx 3-4 years old. She is a big girl with a big heart. She makes great eye contact and just seems like she wants to please and knows her manners

We believe she is housebroken.
