All adoptions are done by appointment after an application has been submitted. Assisting the animals of Lapeer County by sheltering, facilitating adoptions, providing education, promoting spay/neuter and community outreach.

Max is one of our longest residents. He has been waiting 310 days!💔
He really is a great dog. He's beautiful, smart, silly and playful. Max loves to be outside, sniffing and exploring. He loves people and kids, but is dog selective. His favorite things are dismembering stuffed toys, chasing a ball or peanut butter enrichment items. He does need supervision outdoors due to his history of escaping. This guy is super smart also! He loves learning new things and is very focused when working on basic obedience and even knows a few tricks!

Bunny is dog selective and would be best in single dog household. She could spend all day chasing a ball or chewing sticks. Bunny even jumps up to a low branch to grab one. 😁She loves everyone she meets and just wants to be next to you. She walks great on leash and is very smart and focused when training.

🐾Female Black Chow & Male Tan Chow 🐾

We are urgently seeking rescue placement for Sonny and Cher, two Chows that need a safe place to land. Both are intact and appear to have been running loose for quite some time. They are understandably very timid and will need a patient, experienced rescue willing to give them the time and care they need to come out of their shells.
Sonny and Cher are also in need of grooming and minor medical treatment, but most importantly, they need someone willing to give them a chance.

Do you want a dog that will make you smile every day? Hank is the one! Look at that handsome face with the huge grin! He is such a happy boy, you can't help but smile when you're around him. Watching him run and bounce around, chasing a ball is the best! Check the video out and see for yourself. He does well running around next to Hershey and Bunny, but can be dog selective.
